This week’s posts brought to you by KAZ-BOT!
KAZ-BOT was speaking at length with Marty Moon recently, and was honored when Marty told KAZ-BOT that that the blog posts made by KAZ-BOT this week are the best ones in “This Week in Milford” history. Marty Moon is a hero of KAZ-BOT, as he is the expert at commenting on events he’s never actually seen. He’s been doing radio broadcasts of Milford athletic events for over 30 years, and has yet to see an actual game.
As for today’s comic, KAZ-BOT believes that there is not nearly enough confetti. However the poorly drawn characters amuse KAZ-BOT. In addion KAZ-BOT feels the pacing and plotlines of this comic are ridiculous. Discuss if you like. KAZ-BOT will be over reading Diesel Sweeties.

There are three very disturbing things in today’s strip, which is kind of high even for Gil Thorp:
– Paris is gaining weight every damn day. By Saturday, she’s going to explode like Mr. Creosote.
– in panel 2, she appears to have two large warts on her thumb. Ick!
– “Nothing like an assault to spice up a party.” Stormy Hicks said this??? Bland, colorless, reticent Stormy Hicks? Wow, what monsters lurk within the denizens of Milford. (And I hope that’s a ROOT beer in your hand, young man!)
And today’s Mysterious Object is in panel 1. We can infer from the dialogue that Paris has just gotten a call on her little bitty cell phone, but it looks more like a garage-door opener to me.
I love the paper chains hanging festively from the walls. When was the last time a teenager threw a party and decorated the place with paper chains? 1956?

Tyler claiming that “he fell” definitely makes Brynna look like the culprit. If he suffers another injury and claims that he “walked into a door”, we’ll know for sure that this is a case of domestic abuse.

Also disturbing – where are Lisa’s arms in panel 1?

Wait, that’s supposed to be Lisa? In that case, where are all her limbs? She’d have to lose her legs to go from towering over RJ to being that much shorter than him.
And while we’re talking about RJ, what’s up with the grotesque death mask that his disembodied head has become in Panel 3? Is it just me, or is he wearing even more eye makeup than Tyler Jay?

My bad – Looking back, Paris told us five days ago that Lisa was at her cousin’s. Are there any other blond high schoolers tangled in this plot yet, or is that an anonymous amputee?

And why is Stormy retrieving his drink from a banker’s box?

What has two heads, two arms, and two legs?
Bill Ritter and Lisa Wyche.
Johnw, I forgot what that character’s name. Thanks, man.

A few observations about today’s strip:
Nice to see Paris is dressing up that stripe shirt with some pearl earrings. I wonder if she borrowed them from Coach Kaz?
Paris’ mystery object in panel one is a tampon box. Ladies use them for secretly hiding tampons. Paris doesn’t know about the secret factor.
Why are RJ and Lisa late? Was he making a trip to The Bucket? *nudge nudge wink wink*

PREDICTION: Of course, since R.J. was late it will be easy to blame the assault on him. So he’ll be banned from playing while under investigation, and Milford will lose lose lose until Gil clears his name.

jrose, it’s embarrassing to see how out of touch you are. No modern-day high-schooler would be caught dead throwing a party sans banker’s box. Serving drinks out of a refrigerator or tub of ice would be tantamount to pasting a ‘Kick Me’ sign on your own back. No, Paris ‘Blob-o-pedic’ Lang is much too cool for that. Between the banker’s box, paper chains, and brutal assaults, this is probably the party of the year. All it needs are some Mail Calls!
