That’s nacho shirt, Ted!

Not much time to comment today, but I will say this: Trying to follow this comic is not for the faint of heart or commitment-phobic. After a two and a half-day dead-end sojourn of “crappy reporters interview old people about absolutely nothing”, we’re back to the main plot at hand: “Teens continue to talk about an exciting event that we didn’t get to see.” Now that Ted Pearse with his  cheap wig and nacho shirt (likely stolen off Mrs. Raptor’s corpse*) is involved, things are sure to…continue to go nowhere fast. Maybe Tyler and R.J. will go on a nice date, start going steady and become Milford’s favorite point guard couple. Unlikely, but I can dream, can’t I?

*She was killed by her cat. After years of her verbal torment, the little critter just snapped and went for the jugular.

  1. At this point, why the hell haven’t the police taken notice??? Everybody at the party knew about the attack on Tyler, everybody in school knows about it, the COACHES know about it, and Helen and Rick just canvassed all the neighbors. The only people who don’t know: the police and intrepid dirt-digger Marty Moon. This is the worst-kept secret ever.

And now Tyler, having spent several days shrugging off the vicious bonk on his head, is now scared out of his wits? Hey, Tyler, if you reach out to R.J., he can’t hit you from behind! What you need to worry about is sharing a locker room… and a shower stall… with the guy.

GT Object of Mystery… to the far left in panel 2, is that a really unuseful filing cabinet, or what? Could be a microfilm storage unit, but that’d be in the library, not the gym. (Ted, look out! The mystery assailant is right behind you!!!)

  2. I donated my nacho shirt to the Milford Goodwill back in 1993. I’m glad it found a new owner. I see Ted got my wife’s old curling iron, too.

  3. I truly don’t know how to say how happy I am that Mrs. Raptor’s cat got its revenge. She was a turd.
Could Mrs. Twill have (hopefully) met a similar fate.
Random thought – both Mrs. Raptor and Mrs. Twill meet their fate a’la “Serial Mom” with Mrs Wyche being Kathleen Turner. Beaten by a leg of lamb while the dog licks their toes.

  4. “Teens continue to talk about an exciting event that we didn’t get to see.”

Maybe the assault on Tyler Jay is like the jewelry store heist in Reservoir Dogs.

TParry, no worries. My friend that lived in Danbury moved to NYC a couple of years ago. I have no reason to go Down The Hatch again.

  5. Do they have a Gay and Lesbian Club at Milford High? Who is the faculty sponsor?
Doesn’t Coach Kaz have an earring?

  6. That had better be a wig. I was starting to think that Ted must go to the same hair salon as me.
When the Milfordians turn sideways, their eye look as creepy and soulless as those alien kids in Village of the Damned.

  7. In Panel 1, Ted’s hair reminded me of Mimi Thorp’s do. Mimi’s har, in turn, reminds me of Elizabeth Montgomery.
