Hooray, it’s Gil’s office…always an interesting panel! As we can see, the trophy case is still empty and the door really needs to be cleaned off. Actually Gil should probably just get a new one that’s wide enough to span the whole doorway. On a side note, local reporter Marjie Ducey is looking kinda hafway hot today (by “Gil Thorp” standards that is…)
So it only took Gil an entire game of Tony Casey suckage to realize his quarterback is awful. Good thing he has a (shhhh, it’s off the record) plan: The Trent Dilfer offense! If the opposing defense is gonna stack 16 guys at the line of scrimmage, then hell, instead of running the ball every play, Gil will mix it up with one yard screen passes and draw plays that won’t fool anyone. That should make for an exciting season of 10-0 defeats! Mark me down as on the “Bill Ritter: QB” bandwagon.
Speaking of 10-0, looks like those wacky Valley Tech kids have upped the stakes from mere pranksterism to misdemeanor building vandalism. Good for them! Anything to make the season more exciting. Gil’s already so excited he’s going to go get a gallon of paint remover, pour it on a towel and snort the fumes in his office…
And now a programming note: Hey folks, so I’ll be off for a couple days. In the meantime, KAZ-BOT will be filling in for me. Be sure to treat him with as much respect as you would give any automated robot blogger.

Those wacky Valley Tech guys really know how to kick a team when they’re down, don’t they?

“Screens and draws.” Brilliant. If Gil was half as smart as he thinks he is, he would have realized his quarterback sucked before the season started, and put in an option offense with a running back at QB. But that would have required some thought and planning. Sorry. Better to teach his students some life lessons, by letting them get pasted every Friday night.
Hey, maybe KAZ-BOT could coach this team.

I see that Maya Angelou, Carol Channing, and Mentok the Mind-Taker are just as offended at the vandalism as we are!

I like how the door in panel 3 is missing a handle…and the corner of Bill’s office appears to be at a 160 degree angle…

OK but if you pass the ball when the other team knows you can’t pass… I just hope this doesn’t fry KAZ-BOT’s logic circuits.
