As you all would imagine, I started this blog precisely for the eventual fame, fortune and hot chicks that were sure to follow. And so it begins: That’s right, as noted over on Big Brother The Comics Curmudgeon, and by faithful reader Gil’s Barber (who no doubt enjoys working with ceramics), This Week in Milford recently got an international shout-out from the Toronto Star. In this front-page story (I can only presume), TWiM got top billing in the sidebar! Alas, there is no linkage from the article, but hey, smart Canadian inter-web users can no doubt navigate their way to this fine blog. Now bring on the hot chicks!
Also, a newer reader Steve asks: “The third panel of the comics is covered by the box ‘The Gil Thorp Blog’, tho I occasionly catch a glimpse of it. What am I doing wrong?”
Good question! The best way to solve this problem is to expand your web browser to full screen…Recent tests by a panel of trained chimps have found this to be effective in most cases, except by those jerk chimps who thought it was a good idea to read this site on their PDAs. Those chimps can go to hell.
Imaginary reader Wanky McWankerstein asks: “Why don’t you just fix that? I really need my Gil Thorp fix in an extremely small browser window!”
Great fake question, Wanky! As occasionally noted, I currently run this blog through the fine free hosting of WordPress, where I’m limited to the templates they provide. This particular template has proven to be less troublesome than any others I’ve found. I suppose I could move the blog to my own site, whereupon I could move the pesky sidebar to the left side. Unfortunately that would take time, money and effort. Until recently I did not consider this, but hey, with the entire population of Toronto now reading this site daily, maybe, just maybe, I’ll do that! Anyone with too much time on their hands can let me know if they care about this one way or another.
Wanky also asks: “Hey what ever happened to your Worst of 2007 poll? And where the hell is today’s comic?”
Calm down, Wanky. The voting is still open, but I suppose one of these days, I’ll close it up…so, get your vote out on this Super Tuesday! And patience, young Canadian. Today’s stalker-riffic comic analysis is comic soon.

Congrats are in order Jason…the Thorpiverse is expanding all over the world!

Me, I just squint and try to remember what the third panel looked like when I saw it in the Houston Chronicle web site.

Awesome, Jason! (I loved the descriptor, “excruciating detail.” What other kind of detail is there in Milford?)
