The Ink Stink Of Tank Town Skanks

12/9/11

Gil Thorp lurches awkwardly into basketball season and a new storyline…

But This Week In Milford is still on…

Marshall Lopat’s tattoo! Everybody’s seen it, except us! What the hell is it? Would it kill you to tell us what it is even if you’re afraid to draw it as part of this VISUAL ART FORM YOU CALL A COMIC STRIP??!!

Is Marshall Lopat’s tattoo generating buzz because it’s awesome or because it’s an utterly awful train wreck? Oh, and thanks for interrupting with your tired cliche “coaching” Gil. That’s better than hearing about Marshall Lopat’s tattoo.

12/10/11

While Lini practices in a sweater vest, let’s mercifully cut away to…

Milford Ink (the place of origin of Marshall Lopat’s tattoo). Ransom Hale and Kitten are waiting for the stampede of high school kids who will be beating a path to their door once the word about Marshall Lopat’s tattoo gets around. Kids will be asking for tattooed portraits of their girlfriends that actually look like Cloris Leachman.

On second thought, looking at Kitten’s sleeve of Rorschach tests, don’t bother showing Marshall Lopat’s tattoo.

  1. Marshall’s tattoo? The schedule from the last time the Mudlarks had a wining season in football? A replicate Firebird as shown on the hood of the 1977 Trans Am to commemorate his conception? A picture of Gil saying Don’t Tread on Me? A picture of Kaz saying Ease Up, Friend? The mind staggers from the possibilities.

  2. 12/9 P1: Even with Skelletor, this suckfest of a team is still not gonna make the playdowns. Count it!
12/9 P2: Note to Summers: if you really want sum MHS gal action then quit cutting your own hair with the flowbee!
12/10 P2: Ransom Hale is wearing chaps! He’s obviously given Lini the needle many times.

  3. Wow, that’s the most intense coaching I’ve seen from Gil in years. Must still have some leftover rage from his dressing-down of Deke ‘n Wildcat. Or maybe there’s still a bit of pride flickering somewhere deep within the old sot.

Cortez Beecher sighting 12/09 p1! I hope he doesn’t waste any of his God-given talents. Tebow-’em, Cortez!

  6. You gotta admit that the cheetah spots on Kitten’s face are quality work. Not sure about the nose “O” she has, or the giant hand tatted on her breast in panel 3.
