Where the hell is Gil going with this? Does the prospect of a magical peacock actually intrigue him? Is he so resistant to coaching that he’s willing give it a shot? Of course not, but there’s still a week or so left so let’s show Gil doing something to drive the point home to his team of losers. What was the point again? Even smart kids are irrationally swayed by delusion, I think. Also, stay away from the ravine. There’s a creepy guy down there.

Could Gil be any more obvious? He’s going to steal a peacock and bring it to basketball practice, probably with the help of long-time breaking and entering accomplice Police Chief Lind…

Or maybe he’ll make the team dress up like peacocks, to teach them a lesson. Hey, is Lini Verde still on the team?

Gil, that sadistic f%ck! In P2 he crushes Fowl-up’s neck and in P3 poor Fowl-up tries to rub the pain out while Gil has that smug look of “I am to be feared!” P2:Memo to Whigs: Knees can’t talk.

I think Gil is going to posit that Mrs. Peacock did it in the library with the lead pipe. At least that’s what the hastily scribbled notes on his hand seem to indicate.

“Actually, hold off on that” is one of those rare producers of suspense. Will Gil tell the story of Mrs Peacock “doing it in the library with the lead pipe” in order to caution the cheerleaders, Marjie, and Mimi about the dangers of lead poisoning? Or will he hand each player a peacock feather and say “Let’s give New Thayer the bird,” or what? Surely he will not find some sensitive way to get Fooler’s dumb cluck teammates to get off his case…

GIl’s gonna make Coach Shaw put on a peacock costume and prance around Scott’s neighborhood.
