Turn Me Loose

Filed under: basketball, Gil Thorp, What the hell is going on here? — teenchy @ 9:44 am

So where is Wendy Wiley off to dance? St. Fabian’s, where the music always has a good beat and you can dance to it…

…whilst Wynn Wiley wearily works himself into a wicked sweat on the Universal machine. Universals have gone the way of the dodo, supplanted by, acquired by, and dissolved by competitor Nautilus. Could it be that Gil and his staff’s antiquated approach to strength and conditioning is a factor in the Mudlarks’ ongoing underachievement?  Or could the bros just be in need of some dynamic tension?

  1. Okay folks, why did the strip image show up at half its original size? And why didn’t my video clips embed? All looked proper when I viewed in draft.

  2. Aw, no worries, all fixed! Drop me a line if you want a quick WordPress tutorial.

  3. So, this really makes a hash of yesterday’s dialogue between Wendy and her mother. “Are you sure you don’t want your brother to go with you? After all, he is only drenched with sweat and at a gym somewhere presumably not in this house… No reason he couldn’t just immediately hop in the car with you and Julie, right?”

  4. “Wynn and Wendy Wiley…” Not promising. How long before Wim Wenders shows up?

  5. Plot twist: Wynn and Wendy were conceived after (during?) a Wynonna Judd concert by Winifred (nee Wilson or Williams or possibly Whitaker) and Winston Wiley. It was destiny!

  6. Wynn Wiley? Finally, a character named after the 7th most popular automotive products company of the 1960′s.

Interesting that St. Fabian’s, alma mater of Kemper and Torrey Peake, and the pre-Milford school of card cheat Andre Hamm, is apparently located in a two-story house.
