Who’s Lucky Now?

Fun google fact: if you search for “sunnyside spin”, the only results will come up for a spinning class in Sunnyside, Queens. My point being that no one has ever said what Don just did. This, by the way, is the first time I recall getting to see Don’s face in such detail. Wonderful Wendy Wiley was won away from Jack by that guy?

I’m tempted to google the phrase ‘skip the bucket’ as well just to see if it has some bizarre or perverse connotation in Urban Dictionary but that’s a little too much effort to put into one of these posts.

BTW, I noticed a lot of thanking going on in yesterday’s comments to teenchy’s post. I’d just like to say thank you to all of the people saying thank you. I’d also like to say thank you to the strips artists and whomever else it is at the comics syndicate who decided it would be more trouble than it’s worth to shut down the fun we have here.

  1. Missing an hour of study was going to cause Amy to blow a math quiz?
Was the teacher going to make it up when she got to class or was it already written? Best thing that can happen for a sub – hand out a quiz.

  2. From the Recycled Art Dept.: Today’s P3 is 4/16’s P1 flipped.

Not Quite Recycled: Teen Wolf from 4/11 P1 returns for his close-up.

  3. Mrs. Drakes kid had the flu???? Nobody else can hand out a quiz and collect the papers afterwards??? Egads! I’ve heard of fish stories but this one tops em all. May Amy be saddled with leeches the next time she takes the field.

  4. also – just because a quiz is postponed doesnt necesarrily mean you’ll do any better then you would have done the first time. Listening, Amy?

  5. In Mfnrd, luck is a zero-sum matter. Lucky passed his to Amy, who has now driven in the winning runs AND had her math quiz postponed (robmize2013 is right– it won’t be any easier next time, but hey, Amy is sixteen and tomorrow is as remote as the next century.) Meanwhile, Lucky has just had his ass handed to him for trying to improvise his way through a class presentation about Stalingrad. (I hope he pointed out that if you’re going to invade Russia from the west, you need to kick it off in early spring, and with overwhelming superiority…)
