And then today, the police taser Young John Pascoe, because his desire to help cannot be controlled, because he refuses to be a by-stander, because he is a big silent Christ-figure Samaritan Symbol of the Bad Effects of Unspecified Trauma. Oh, the humanity!

But now that I look at it again, it might be that Young John Pascoe, expecting that one day his silent frustration would grow to overwhelm even his pacific inner being, packs some sweet voltage heat, and he has just tased the policeman, or better, the Annoying Artiste Gymnast Boy Kip. You can never tell in Milford.

In all the fun of the return of TWiM I forgot to mention I learned the identity of Mr. Bakst! He is a writer for the Associated Press whose story I came across recently. With all the traveling required to cover politics for the AP, it’s no wonder he needs to use a travel agent.
