This Week in Milford

I thought real games were slow-moving

At the rate we’re going in this game, it’ll be my turn to post on Friday by the time this game is over. Oh yeah, I’m posting today. Well then…

Got a major problem with P2 – not only is the fielder poised to snare the ‘double’, which is pretty high for a lined hit anyway, he’s also saving a home run, as the fence is roughly 3 feet high. Hope all the OF’s have steel cups. Could be some nasty collisions out there. And if he misses the ball there’s no way it doesn’t clear the fence. Artist, please draw the ball more out of reach and Much lower next time, thank you. If it somehow one-hopped over the fence the field must be made of Flubber. Finally, its in black and white when everything else is in color. I smell a recycled panel here if our crack research team can look it up.

And we have a lead for Dillon to protect, courtesy of an actual home run. Gil’s been coaching 3rd all these years? Who knew?

  1. I like these colorized strips. Milford’s big M and stark red-and-black colors make them look like M-Tron, the baseball team.
