Girls are going great guns

More sleeveless softball players for our pleasure today, as well as the obligatory incorrect positioning of a fielder – if its 2nd base we’re looking at, she should be facing us and tagging the runners right foot that would be closer to the base.  We dont even see the base or the CF in the picture behind the action.  The defensive momentum from Amy’s assist carries over to the bats. I guess a 5-run lead is a rout in girls softball, as Amy and Conrad continue to move in opposite directions, at least defensively.

  1. Forget the sleeveless jerseys, check out those bracelet-less wrists! I don’t know how they got those past the comics censor….

  2. I can sort of see it if she’s trying to go from 1st to 3rd on a single & sliding on the outfield side.
5 runs in girls softball is a lot. Some pitchers throw shutouts more often than not.

  3. Panel 2 is confusing on positioning unless Amy charged the ball and threw direct to third. With a hot play in the outfield it’s not that unusual for the third baseman to do the unthinkable, turn her back on the catcher.
