The conservation of luck theory proceeds apace, at least in the mind of he who adheres to it.

I pity the fool who has to pitch to Amy the rest of the season. Luck(e)y might do better at the plate if he wasn’t trying to hit with a bowling pin.

Any idea who those two in P3 might be? Where is this fog they speak of? Does it have anything to do with that giant spider web Lucky’s swinging through? What fate awaits young Haskins next week?

Prediction? Pain.

  1. I wouldn’t pretend to know anything about coaching, but –
    a) Take Lucky out of the lineup!
    b) Move Amy over from the girls’ team.

  2. Lucky, you big stiff, turn your hands over! Gil, it may or may not be a fog, but it’s definitely a bad swing. Compare to Amy (Lange.)

  3. Three losses in four games? Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that pretty much automatic elimination from the playdowns? Also, if we’re saying that four games have passed since the prom, then we are skipping a lot of exposition (by comparison to earlier in the story) here. I’m guessing the creators are trying to wrap this one up as quickly as possible to bring on the summer craziness.

  4. I believe so, Tim. If Gil gave a crap about making the postseason he’d have made some lineup changes, but as I suggested on Thursday I think he’s got a tee time calling his name.

I think it’s time for a comics crossover here. I’d love to see what Ted Forth could do with this bunch.
