Bluetooth anyone?

Wow – Gil has a bluetooth! This strip is just getting so modern I cant believe it. I have no idea who the woman in P2 is, but she looks like someone I could enjoy playing golf with. If its Mimi, why is she filling in for Gil? How does he get off not showing up at anything he’s supposed to be doing anymore? Where did she come from? The adult figure in P1 looks very male.

  1. Two cars, a rental driven by a high school junior quarterback prospect and whatever a high school coach-of-all-sports-master-of-none can afford driven by said coach, are X miles apart.

The prospect leaves the Central City Hilt and travels at a rate of 65 miles per hour. The coach leaves the Milford Country Club and travels at a rate of 55 miles per hour. They start at the same time. Where and when will the two cars collide? Who will be injured? Who will retain The Foley Law Group?

  2. If you can believe the artwork, Gil just picked up something in his left rear-view mirror.
    Or he is falling asleep.

  3. I so hate pretentious-sounding home-cooked meal chatter, sounding like the worst example of yuppiedom. Cedar-plank salmon, really? Is it also locavore farm to fork?
How about “let’s barbecue tonight, I’ll cook up some salmon like you like it.”
I’d rather be with the person saying the second version than the high-end waitress-style description.

  4. I wish to place today’s strip in nomination for the title we often talk about, The Strip in which Absolutely Nothing Happens. OK, Gil has the kids putt and reports to Mimi that one of his weaker students had a decent shot, and Mimi breaks off the call. Note that the award is for nothing whatever happening In the strip itself.

But clearly something has just happened off stage. Has True gone end over end down Gil’s street, seizing Mimi’s attention? Or is it merely a more humdrum development, such as Mimi coming outside and finding the pool boy nuding on the deck?
