Hey gang! Guess what: I overslept! So, instead of the usual ten to fifteen minutes I spend on this we’re going to do speed TWIM. Maybe later tonight I’ll come back with something better.

Panel one: I’ve never seen a fleshlight but thanks to the joy of the internet I know that they exist and approximately what they look like. WTF, True?

Panel two: the mid-panel Gil closeup from yesterday is mirrored by today’s mid-panel closeup of True and kinda sorta provides the title/gratuitous video for today’s post. Which just goes to show that you post with the title idea and youtube video you have, not the ones you want.

Panel three: Could this be the end of the Thorp grip upon all of Milford athletics? Will this scandalous revelation that Gil can’t even be bothered to show up for his summer gig baby sitting toddlers at the country club finally arouse the disgust and indignation of the Milford PTA? No, of course not. This is just going to get True on the 7-on-7 team where he will likely tear his rotator cuff.

Finally, because there aren’t any songs called ‘A Family Hobby’ that I’m aware of, here’s a so-so clip of ‘A Family Affair’ for no good reason whatsoever…

Update: Well, I sort of promised an update tonight so here it is: While perusing this or that over on the CC website, I came across some link to a post that included another link to the blog of an artist who tried out for Gil Thorp during the transition from McLaughlin. Without further ado, here it is. An interesting glimpse into the past of what might have been.

  1. Gil was only given the “job” at the golf club to stop him from breaking in, so they surely do not care if he shows up or not.

  2. Tru, you got any brothers or sisters? Maybe some mothers left along the freeways?

What I really want to know:
How can all these kids afford to always be eating in restaurants, even fast food places?

  3. Bryant’s artwork for GT is… well, pretty good. It’d be hard to snark on him for things like black upper lips that look like moustaches, like I’m fixin’ to do today.
