This Week in Milford

Whats your name, future Mudlark, whats your name?

I feel like I’m following Marjie Ducey on the red carpet, but here goes: So the plot thickens as the players research True on their smartphones and come up with some picture of him in front of a sign that looks to me like Savannah Tigers, given the tail in the corner. The emblem on the side is too vague to make out what it is. (Thats what you guys are for) Again, the players are ahead of Gil in the player info department, as they appear to know both who he is and how good he is. I can sense their giddiness at the prospect of his joining the football team, and I’m sure the upcoming strips will entail a full-scale recruitment of True by the entire roster, linemen included. And good ol Knox Foley is back in the mix; hopefully he’ll stay out of the law offices this time. In fact most of these dads are nothing but trouble in this strip.

  1. I hear ya, Rob. That was a masterwork in snarking that I’m glad I didn’t have to follow. Somewhat more troubling: What the hell is going on with Knox’s left eye in panel three?

  2. Looks like the white is obscured by the panel border, thats all.

  3. Shuford has a great memory, combining the first half of True’s surname with the second half of his own. Must have gotten a brain freeze from that cold drink.

  4. What the hell is going on with True’s left SHOULDER in panel three? Looks horribly deformed, or maybe he’s secretly a Transformer in mid-morph.

Otherwise, I’m just glad to see the guys hanging out at The Bucket — named by Yelp as Milford’s Greasiest Eatery.
