$10 will buy a lot of Shitty Nutboys

First of all, sorry for the non-post yesterday; I was only home for barely an hour between work and a car racing event, so really forgot all about this till I was on the way home. Busy man. I knew I had today though, since its no-strip Sunday. Thanks for waiting. I know we’re all used to it anyway.

A hired gun eh? Even though Gil didnt even know he was ENROLLED till after school started. Who hired him? Marjie? Marty? If Jarrod thinks he’ll book after this year, well, your guess is as good as mine. I like how the plot is paced slow enough that its setting Jarrod up for the big fall later, or maybe True wont be as good as advertised on YouTube. We’re now up to working with the 1st teamers, as if they didnt have time for this before. Guess the JV players could handle his half-speed tosses better then the varsity. Again, the trainer (Rick?) should be the one to clear True to play, not True himself. But this is life in the Milford-verse.

Now we’ll see how Jarrod likes getting his reps cut by the new kid, even though there’s a backup QB on every team. He needs to realize that a little competition will HELP him, but I’ll bet $10 he doesnt think that way. Any takers??

  1. I just bought a blue wig for my daughter to use in a costume. She won’t be cosplaying Jaroo, who, it’s true, is a bit of a shrew.

  2. Well, Jarrod, if “he’s a hired gun,” what was he hired to do? Take your place, obviously.

Also, what happened to Art Standish, the constantly hovering presence? He seems to have vanished.

  3. Don’t worry, John S. There’s still plenty of season left for Art to gum up the works. I get the feeling, though, that Jarrod will be doing that quite ably himself.

  4. I must haz do-over!!

    Jaroo, it’s true
Is a bit of a shrew.
    But tell me who
    Made his hair turn blue?

  5. Art should be showing up art Gil’s door step soon. His scholarship to Big Time U is in jeopardy each game he rrides the pine.

  6. Relieved to see everyone else has already covered the “hired gun” absurdity (as in “Who hired him, and if so, why for only this year?”)

Also agree a gap is opening in the plot with False’s disappearance. There is always the potential for False to eff things up by drawing attention to the fact his kid is not the starter. There is a reason for the alacrity with which true said “No!” when False asked if he wanted him to talk to Gil about Hale’s ostracism.

  7. I loved the alacrity, vaganova. True looked ten years younger in 9/15 P2. So what if he won’t be there next year? Neither will your senior teammates.

Thanks for running with the ball today, Rob. The ripple effect from Wednesday’s accident spread today to my missing what would’ve been the first no-hitter I’d witness in person. Now just hoping Stubhub will come through for me next weekend. looking forward to picking up my spot in the rotation again come Thursday.
