Milford Cheerleader Breaks the Internet

November 15, 2014

Today brings us a very special pop culture cameo appearance as Kim Kardashian’s ass shows up on the Milford sidelines. Have we ever seen the Mudlark cheerleaders this close and directly behind the players? And what’s that mysterious object(s) at upper right? We can see hash marks so we know they’re not standing in the corner of the end zone. Wherever they are it’s as far away from the wrath the indifference of Gil as possible.

Yep, it’s all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows as long as the points keep coming. Magnanimous True hands out scoring plays like participation trophies and Austin Shuford is happy just to bask in the glow of his sweat. Even early-season standout Don Stebbins steps into the limelight, doing his part for the Law of Conservation of Pick-Sixes.

Who knows how long this party train will run? Westview just won a conference championship so anything’s possible (and I suggest you follow that link for some pithy observations from billytheskink). Enjoy the ride – and the relative cornucopia of football action.

  1. 4 deep at QB but most of the team is playing 2-way? Someday, all those coaches need to learn the players names. And True needs to run.

  2. I am more confused than ever over where this plot is eventually headed. True is only one miracle away from canonization right now, and even Jarrod is starting to act normal. What, will True die like George Gipp and Jarrod deliver the eulogy?

  3. What the hell happened to the Valley Conference? The other teams are so bad, not only can True throw touchdowns at will, but all of his receivers are so open that he can throw it anywhere he wants to?

I tell ya, if the Mudlarks can’t win a title against this “quality” competition, then Gil really ought to be fired.

  4. Man, teenchy, I know we’re all desperate for pageviews – I’d like to say that we just snark on Gil Thorp of the love of it, but honestly, it’s the millions of dollars that roll in to us TWIM commenters that keep things churning here – but using key words like ‘Kim Kardashian’s ass’ in a transparent attempt to increase our Google ranking is waaay shady. I’ll be curious to see what new and exciting (and undoubtedly salacious) spam we start to get now…

  5. Oh noes, Tim! Not my intention at all! Should I edit? Coming up with blog posts is hard enough; moderating comments would be a whole ‘nother kind of time suck.

Kinda related (and maybe worth a metapost): I did kick in to the virtual tip jar a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been wondering if/how this page sustains itself. I’ve noticed another Gil Thorp blog linking itself in the GT comments on Gocomics and wondering if that’s something we should do.

  6. Oh, I was just kidding. I have no idea what happens with the tip jar. I assume any donations are discreetly funneled into Jason’s Cayman Islands bank account. In all candor, I don’t worry about promoting the blog much. I don’t tend to read the comments on GoComics so was only vaguely aware that we had competition – so to speak… Oh well, it’s a big internet and I do make sure to include the URL when I comment on Comics Curmudgeon or some of th other comics mocking blogs.
