Gil Thorp

Leisl wins the conference opener which brings home the snail-like pace of these seasons; at this rate they’ll be in the playoffs by May. Bobby is ecstatic that his ‘coaching’ made a difference and doesnt hesitate to show his excitement with a low-five. What that portends at this point is anyones guess, but Leisl looks like she may want more tips from the boys student manager masquarading as an x-o guy. Always some hidden agenda in these storylines; stay tuned to see how long before his advice to a male player leads to a public flogging.

  1. Is Lysol patronizing Bobby? Maybe he should just go pick up some dirty jocks and wet towels in the boys locker room.

  2. Ya wanna talk about timely stories? How about this one? All I can say is that I will make every effort to watch that game and check on the towel distribution situation.

I also want to make a joke about how, if he were a Gil Thorp character, Ryan Schmidt would always be getting on people trying to let him do their taxes or check their small businesses’ books, but I can’t quite make one that works.

  3. Leisl thinks Bobby is putting the moves on her, and she’s obviously attracted to his fashion-forward sweater vests. However, I bet Bobby can think of nothing but basketball, and when he invites her for some “private coaching” to “show her some moves,” she’ll be disappointed when he takes her to the gym.
