This Is All Going To End Badly

I’ll be frank: I figured Bobby’s advice would help her but I was not expecting what is depicted in panel one to be how Leisl was going to implement Bobby’s advice. I would have never guessed that ‘overplaying the right’ as a means of exploiting a perceived weakness in her opponent’s dribble by ‘making her use [the dribble]’ would mean that Leisl was going to somehow swoop around the player’s left side as she went after the ball which is being held firmly in the opponent’s hands.

As for the rest, eh, looks like we’ve set up quite a few storylines with crossing tensions: Bobby-Max, Max-Adderall, Bobby’s AmbitionLeisl’s biology grades, Gil-Hooch, etc.

  1. Look at the size of that boy’s head! In the background, striped-shirt boy and Cousin Itt are drawn towards its overwhelming gravimetric force. Even the square on the backboard is distorting in RoBob’s gravity well. Doomed, we are.

  2. It’d be almost impossible for Leisl to finish that play without committing a foul.

“First question second. I’m on Adderall, and I stay up all night watching game films.”

  3. It looks like Lysol is fouling her as player is shooting a free throw. Is that allowed in this league? The refs must be looking the other way as they do in pro rasslin. I bet Bobby has brass knuckles.

  4. Bobby’s role model is Lou Holtz who never played diddley anywhere….. but Lou was one helluva coach…

  5. “She always goes right so force her left” is hardly Dean Smith-level coaching brilliance. It didn’t take him 80 hours of breaking down game tape to figure that out.
