Yes I’m wearing the same sweaty sweatervest I wore to the game

Max predictably is ineffective without the Adderall, and Gil replaces him, in typical Gil fashion too late to save the team from a loss. I remember when losses were status quo, now they’re ‘important’.
Bobby promises to have another pill for Max the next game, and also doesnt bother to change clothes between the game and school the next day, where the only difference is he is sans tie. Leisl looks terrific in that purple dress, and if she is changing her mind about Bobby for his savant abilities, so be it.

  1. My guess is that Bobby has a closet full of red sweater vests.

  2. The funniest “Nancy” comic I ever saw: she’s standing in front of a closet full of identical outfits, thinking “Hmm… what should I wear today?”

I’m really disappointed that Marty didn’t make some crack about “limp Bacon.”

  3. Lysol is “impressed” with Bobby’s forecast of the outcome, and this will probably cause him to completely misunderstand and double up his monofocus on basketball instead of learning what she’s about besides hoops. In other words he still has not caught on that others are less one-dimensional than he, and he has not raised the odds that she will blow him on the bus ride home.

  4. Just added a tag for Marty, who must be sitting on the feet of the spectators behind him.

  5. Lysol is flyin’ her freak-flag high today – the white ankle socks with the black flats just scream, “Take me! Here! In the stairwell! On the spotless pale blue floor!” [[Sorry, sorry, I’m confusing Gil Thorp with some recent Judge Parker – apologies]] But, damn, that chick has long calves.

Alas, judging by his legwork, Mono-Boy (TM) remains oblivious and heads off stage right. SO not getting bus-action.

  6. I dunno, g2design. Liesl looks to be wearing white ankle boots a la one of the dancers from Shindig! or Hullabaloo. I’m with you on the peculiar calves angle, though.

  7. Any way you cut it, Lysol is the only cool character in this story line.

  8. She may be the only cool character, but she’ll be gone like the rest after this arc.
