Wow, is this house of cards ever collapsing quickly…

I am not sure if panel two is supposed to be a flashback but, if it is, I do enjoy that Gil sees himself in the background of his own reminiscence. Give credit where it’s due (or not), as they didn’t just crop the corners of the previous panel depicting that scene.

Panel three is astounding as we are shown a bobbling head, yet no exploding eyeballs. What is this, Apartment 3-G? Oh well. So much for the criminal career of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Howry, whose tepid bragging to Leisl has now managed to upend his own apple cart.

  1. Gil in panel two looked oddly familiar. I racked my brain and finally came up with who he was reminding me of there — Flaming Carrot!

  2. At least Whigham didn’t resort to the Winkerbeanian photo corners for the flashback panel. Oh,and I was half expecting this:

  3. Apparently Gil has spent the entire season assembling a dossier on Bobby and Max, judging by the sheaf of papers he’s fondling.

And here’s how Bobby should respond to Gil’s demand: “Well, if you managed his minutes like a real coach, I wouldn’t have had to give Max my Adderall. Where have you BEEN since January, anyway?”

  5. “Dammit boys, last night I was enjoying my popcorn and tonics with My Favorite Meme, when she got all in my grille about you two. Now, I’m a simple man, but I was especially troubled with intrusive thoughts about overheard hallway conversations and, well, it was disctracting. I just couldn’t shake it; hell, I couldn’t BE THERE for The Meme later. I used to have kids, then they went missing, and by God I was happy how that turned out. Now I got you two clowns messin’ with my marital vibe. If you’re moving PDE5 Inhibitors out of that backpack, let’s deal. Otherwise, go see Mr. Kaz.”

And what _IS_ with that pile of paper, Mr. Walters?

  6. Gil, demonstrating his Ant-Man powers today, as 5’8″ Bobby Howry and 5’11” Maxwell Bacon loom over his desk as if they were Kurt Rambis and Blair Rasmussen.

  7. Is that Gil wearing a tie and jacket in P2? Gil in a tie at school?!?!

Fortunately, he has gone back to his casual self in P3!
