Why am I half involved half the time?

Well the other bloggers took the day off so I’m doing this one and … ?? I have a tough assignment trying to dissect Trues analysis of his life segments. Again, the guy is the total asswipe with no clue to anything save tying his shoes twice a day, and the girl is the reasonable guide down the straight path. If I had to think that much in high school about my various sporting lives I’d be living in the deans office. No dean here in Milf, so its either Gil or the current lady partner to solve all. And we know how much help ol Gil is.

I’m now sure True only has half a brain, thats why he cuts everything into quarters, or more. Sad to say, we missed a lot of important dialogue in that coffee house. All we are privy to is the dilemma. Boo knows the answer but she’s not telling; she’s already deduced True has solid melon between his ears, no more, and isnt gonna insult herself by providing him an easy out. Earn it, dum dum, your not worthy of my love or even my coffee, until you use some of that cranial matter and solve the riddle. I’m surprised she thinks Gil knows the answer; I dont recall any dialogue between her and Gil at all. Of course Coach Thorp could be Mimi. Tomorrow comes soon; I think its time for a 3-panel talk with another invisible man, False. I’m confident of being half-right on that one.

  1. Thanks, Rob. It was going to be a late night for me so I was just going to combine two strips into one. I certainly don’t mind one less to do.

  2. And thanks from me for Saturday’s post.

What’s with the doors on the Coffee Cantina? They go from being wide enough to let only one person pass through to wide enough for two. Also, from the looks of the last several days’ strips the CC now has a corner entrance. Previously we’ve seen it to have sort of a foyer entrance added on to the front – or not – but up until now nothing’s given us the impression that it’s located on a corner. CC may just stand for Constantly Changing (locations, that is).

  3. Maybe Coffee Cantina is the Starbucks of Milford: a location on every corner.

As for the existential question: True’s first sport is football, his meal ticket to a free college education. He was talked into pitching by, ahem, Coach Thorp. Naturally he doesn’t put his heart and soul into it. You’re welcome.

  4. Like that choking incident in the stands a few weeks ago, once you see something you cannot unsee it.
I am now firmly convinced that Gil Thorp is nothing but a daily haiku delivery system.
    Observe the P3 dialog:

    “I could tell you, but”

The rest of the haiku is left as an exercise for the reader.

  5. Did Marty Moon design those Coffee Cantina cups or does he just raid the dumpster for the ones he keeps in his crate?

  6. “…or ask Coach Thorp.” If that’s not the definition of a fool’s errand, I don’t know what is.

  7. […] out Gil’s offering the same advice as a flighty, manipulative high school girl. I’ve got a feeling Boo’s just found her […]
