Seeing red

I’m so glad I get to post another day because I have a lot to go over today:

1. P1 the large number 8 on the scoreboard – is that the home team total or the inning? And are they playing or practicing, since they have no school name or number, just red shirts and red pants. Egads; methinks all that red makes the contrast of a white ball coming at the opponents easier to see.

2. Whats sticking out in back of Max’s pants, a tail? His underwear from his pants splitting? Help on this one, I have nothing.

3. How big are those gloves?? You could fit a small TV set in em. True looks like he has a right glove on his left hand; the thumb is on the left.

4. All of a sudden True’s busting his tail. Well, so is Max, if we go by Panel 1. Lol!

5. The guy-common fist bump is fine, but Max sure has a large pinkie finger. Uncurled it would be longer then True’s thumb. He should try to pitch; with those long fingers I’m sure he could master a good knuckelball or even a cutter. Another asset Gil isnt utilizing.

6. P3 True has a sweatband on his wrist; I’m pretty sure thats not allowed on pitchers.

And True thanks Max for speaking up, meaning if he’s gonna play baseball, he has to give it full effort, not half or less. Boo surely wouldnt coast out there, why should he?

  1. I don’t think that’s an ‘8’ in panel one, it’s two blank squares where the final score will appear at the end of the game.

  2. Pitchers have to get mean. I kinda thought that would be the point, not some generic pap about taking it seriously.
    Alas, Babylon!

  3. Wondering if True, under the influence of Boo Radley, will begin dusting batters off (juuuust a bit inside!)

  4. I’m guessing that is a batting glove. Or a sliding glove if Milford can afford both for each player. A go getter like MAX ORTIZ ! needs both. Or maybe that’s Gil’s drinking gloves that Max stole while Gil was passed out in the dugout. Gil needs drinking gloves because it helps him hold the glass steady when he has the shakes.

  5. Those are some ugly ass unis. Looks like something that would be worn by a over 40 softball team.

  6. So, am I the only one who compared their thumb to their pinky finger (on opposite hands of course) after reading point 5? Mine appear to be nearly the same length. Is that normal? I’ve already got Morton’s toe, now this!
