Boo helped True sort out something or other, then drives him home in her Jeep Compass, which leads to kissing. Is True now obligated to attend the Mystic Cranks show? Keep in mind, Boo gets what she wants!

Please tell me we get to see this Mystic Pranks show. We need something unusual to tide us over. Golf is almost upon us!

  3. Nice Pepsi logo earrings.
They foreshadowed the midnight show plot twist, and they have to do something with it. Either Boo drops True off and goes to the show by herself, getting into serious trouble of some sort, or she takes True with her, and the serious trouble will require Gil to suspend True for the rest of the season. Or, if these were real teenagers, they’d be in the back seat of that Jeep well past midnight.

  4. I wonder if Damone told her to put on side 1 of Mystic Pranks IV?

  5. That pose in panel 3 is physically impossible, unless the Jeep Compass comes with a swiveling passenger seat.

  6. Compadres, I know there are gale warnings out at all points, but I think we are seeing the beginning of one of those epic Mfnrd romances, the last of which to work out, as I remember, was that of Wally Lamb and Bitsy Twill– the football hero and the unexpected partner. Bitsy was poor; Boo is aggressive. Times change, as do rationales for dissing girls, but basic Mfnrd plots do not. This time it is not hero and hapless subject of rescue, but two more equal in non-competing ways. Neither will get away with a damned thing…
