That is a lot of excitement going on in panel one. From the exploding high-five, to the looks-less-like-a-fist-pump-and-more-like-someone-else’s-forearm-entirely joie de vivre of the unknown softball player, who I am reasonably sure is not Amy Lange, you’d think they’d really built up this game against Oakwood.

That said, between panels one, two and three I’m guessing we see three entirely different hairstyles for Boo. As previously noted, we’re getting a lot of hair in this plotline. Nothing quite pantheon level but, at this rate, Boo might be able to earn some sort of lifetime achievement award.

  1. Heaven forbid we should waste time showing the girls actually playing the game. Gotta get back to the boy-centric plot.

  2. In light of the recent references to Dock Ellis, that unknown softballer in P1 looks like she’s taking a trip, too.

  3. Maybe not pantheon of hair, but definitely pantheon of guest stars. Or is Boo not being played by David Bowie in panel 1?

  4. Panel 1 features a guest appearance by Fess Parker’s raccoon cap from Davy Crockett.

  5. Boo has an impossibly short humerus in P1 and yeah, I don’t know what the heck’s going on with spacey girl in the foreground’s arm. Time to trot out the Kaiser Wilhelm jokes again?
