Captain picks, and Gils tan

Sorry didnt get around to this yesterday, had a barbecue after work. Gil looks like he got barbecued himself, spending his summer laying in the sun drinking lemonade and deciding which 3 stooges were worthy of being captains of a team that hasnt played a game on September 25. My state’s in Week 5, Gildo. Dont know why nobody wants to sit and look at Holly Dobbs every day, but we’ll see how they fit this plot in with the rigorous football schedule, which wont end until Groundhog Day at this rate. Bonfire, commence!

  1. If we’re going to get a “high schooler aims for the spotlight” story instead of a “Marty gets his heart stomped” one, I’m going to be sorely disappointed.

  2. Wait ’til you see today. When school ends, Gil will have a week and a half on the golf course then it will be the start of next year.

  3. I’ll be back with today’s strip later this afternoon. Wasn’t Julius Funchess on one of Key and Peele’s East/West Collegiate Bowl teams?

  4. Looks like there’s a new meathead in Milford, and it’s one of the Darwin boys.

  5. Wasn’t last year’s other quarterback- the humorless scold Jarrod Hale or Harrod Jail or something– also a junior? Curious why he is not a captain instead of the two from Central Casting.

I have a terrible feeling we are going to see a combination of recent awful plots– boy agent tries to exploit reality show to promote his idiot brother. At least it would get us past the inherent impossibility of a “reality” show being filmed in a school.

  6. What’re the odds this story arc ends up worthy of a Darwin Award? One can only hope…
