Snitches Get… Chunky Bracelets

Well at least we now know the name of the hotel in Milford: That TV Guy’s Hotel. Big budget for that Welcome Back, Carter crew, too. Alan must be pocketing his meal money to save up for another disco suit.

About the only thing successful about this show is its crew’s ability to sow the seeds of dissent among the Milford football team. I’m guessing this is Pete De Windt confronting True in P3? And, by “spending a lot of time with,” he means “seen talking with in the hallway with twice”?  Okay, fine.

Unseen P4: Keeping his eyes on two guys talking about a girl instead of the pass coming his way, #17 gets plunked in the head with the ball.

  1. All we know about True’s “injury” is he “might” have a seperated shoulder of his non throwing hand. So he’s on the sideline with his left arm in a sling. Get out there and help your team! He must’ve consulted Derek Rose.

  2. Milford has a hotel that employs people in typically tip-able positions (concierge, bellhop, doorman, etc.)? Some “tank town”…

  3. Where is Tru’s main squeeze Boo? Sis she drop out of school?

Why is she not concerned that another girl is hitting on her man? Why is Tru to dumb to realize the obvious?

  4. Billy, I’m thinking the aunt is one of the housekeepers.
I can just imagine the sommelier at the Milford InterContinental: “Could I suggest a young Diet Pepsi with your corn chips? A little insouciant, with a brief mint-toothpaste aftertaste”.

  5. Bobby, I’ve been wondering about Boo. She’s been uncharacteristically silent regarding this hot mess.
Maybe she already knows what role “Welcome Back, Carter” played in getting True injured. In which case, she’s probably reviewing the Jean-Reno-teaches-Natalie-Portman sections of “Leon: The Professional” for ideas on what to do to Alan.

  6. I don’t know why it took me so long to have this insight, but it just hit me: Whigrub had no idea how to follow the championship season and handle True, False, Boo, and the other real stories generated over the past year. So instead we have this lunacy about a tv show being filmed in a high school, allowing Whigrub to duck every one of the main threads. Kind of hoping that one of these days Patrick Duffy will step out of the shower to reveal that the past three months have all been a nightmare. Sorry, I meant CONFIRM they’ve been a nightmare.

  7. So, I went on tours of several local elementary schools today and, at one of them, the presenter – who was about my age – was wearing a chunky bracelet on her right wrist and one of those pedometers with a rhyming name on the other. I am positive that I am the only parent in that audience who was momentarily thinking about this little Gil Thorp focused blog.

  8. So True was injured because Dory Dumber missed practice to meet with Jeff Probst, and now he is about to get injured again because of the false rumours linking him to a teammate’s girlfriend.
But he will be hurt most of all when 8oo Radley gets her hands on him.

    Bad news comes in threes.

It’s kind of a sense of disappointment, I guess, that Whigrub thinks we will be captivated by the exploits of Holly Wood and the pimp in the white jacket when we already had a couple of good stories which have been tossed aside.

  10. Frankly, Friday comments on Thursday’s strip used to annoy me, but now I appreciate the space to fully consider Thursday’s offering. After 24 hours, the best I got is: (wait for it)
