Shots, Fired and Not Fired

(alternate title: “erry reek roc!“)

Well that was a bit of a letdown. At least we won’t end up with Kenzie doing something she’d probably get suspended over – by the Thorps if not by the league. Is it me or has Leisl had a growth spurt since last season?

I suspect “Don’t Thank Me. Thank USA Rugby.” will become a tagline this season. Scrums on tip-offs? Don’t Thank Me. Thank USA Rugby. Pre-game hakas? Don’t Thank Me. Thank USA Rugby. Kenzie slips in the shower downing a bar of soap after a try? Don’t Thank Me…

  1. Put 2here the sun don’t shine Kenzie!

  2. Dang – that’s some deep stuff for a Monday. Elbows… I’m blessed that way; my elbows have always been just where I need them. But I never considered, until just now; would my elbows agree? Just where do my elbows belong? I guess I never thought to ask them. Big MacKenzie assumes eery reek’s #45 has worked thru all this already.

And are they really even my elbows at all? Oh man….

  3. I was hoping for some classic Jeff Ruland on-court roughhousing, but I’ll take Kenzie blocking thrown elbows using… the Force, I guess.

  4. I don’t think there will be any brawling. Rugby players tend to master the “professional foul,” the adroit, painful shot that escapes the ref’s notice.

  5. Agree with vaganova. Looking forward to Kenzie deploying her hard-won scrum tactics against Little Miss 45.

  6. Lay that smack down, Kenzie.
Any bets on a Leisl/Kenzie power team on the court?

  7. No Tuesday post yet? I’ll see what I can do later. Apologies.

  8. […] thought on yesterday’s strip: Did anyone else hope for a Kenzie Hanley cameo when reference was made to “a linebacker in short pants”?  For that matter, […]
