This Week in Milford

March 25, 2016

Spinning wheels

Have to say that bus has odd seating – the aisle looks non-existent and the right side seats look so close how can anyone move to get off without jumping over all the seats?? As Bob Uecker would say – I’d be in the front row!  Anyhoo–

How on earth, would a tenuous relationship of one of the non-starring players, have a malaise-causing effect on the whole team??  Heck, I remember not so long ago when any Milford win was cause for celebration – now they win and its – so what, we still arent happy. Its wonderful that they strive for more then just winning; established good teams compete against themselves more then the opponent, as a way to stay hungry etc. And the coaches will see this and give them more reasons to stay motivated to play well instead of just coast.

But what kind of track record does a girls high school team have? Unless they won it all last year with the same cast, I would think they could have a better attitude and not let Kenzies moping affect them so much as it obviously has. Again, she DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY BEFORE! How the hell did she become the bellcow that fast?? Let her sulk on the bench where she belongs and get on with kicking some ass!

And we have Gil offering to help Kenzie in the weight room?? Hmmm.. that will be a tricky one indeed. I need a song:

  1. OMG, Gil. Nothing could sound creepier than that. Oh wait, I just read the Saturday strip. Acceptable boundaries between adults and children need never be adhered to in Milford.

  2. Yep, there have been some creepy moments in my time commenting on this strip, but we are treading upon the redline right now.

  3. This could have been a good plot if it hadn’t just suddenly begun this week.

Speaking of “creepy,” judging by Mimi’s expression in panel 3 I’d say Gil’s hands have wandered “south of the border” ifyaknowwhatimean.

  4. You can see where Gil is going (Be yourself- Duh), but wouldn’t it have been better in every way if Mimi sent Boo?

  5. I think Boo went on a church trip to North Korea. Or maybe I dreamt that.
