This Week in Milford

July 15, 2016

How about getting us out of this storyline? Soon.

How many people does it take to make chili? My mom did everything, we read the paper and watched tv til dinner was ready. Gil pouring the sauce, Mimi tasting it, I’m sure Gil’s special sauce makes that chili oh so hot.

Bader getting out soon? Whats soon about anything in this strip? End of school, end of base/softball, graduation, summer programs, 7 on 7 football, golf (yep), Marjie Ducey working on her tan, is that happening soon too? Now we’re worrying about a 2nd mortgage?? I didnt know the court gave you your money back for anything.

And P3 has Barry bitching about that same topic, and wanting to pay the bond guy. Which bond guy is he referring to? This one:

  1. “Then they’ll pay it off when the court gives the money back. Then they’ll go deeply into debt when Del goes to prison and be forced into bankruptcy. Why do you ask? Say, when will that chili be done?”

p3: Mrs. Bader prepares to slip out the back door never to return, and Barry just goes on and on ranting about Dear Old Drunk Dad until the sheriff comes to evict him.

  2. Gil: “… They’ll pay it off when the court gives the money back. Anyway, I understand Del’s doing something with his industrial chemicals to provide for his wife and Barry”.
    Mimi: “That’s good”.
Gil: “Yeah, he was talking to Gus Fring at that chicken restaurant about distributing whatever it is he’s going to make”.
    Mimi: “That’s not good”.
Gil: “Also, I guess Barry’s getting a job at the restaurant, because Del was telling Gus he could teach Barry to cook …”

  3. Philip, there must be a Mfnrd classmate with a part time job at the drugstore. “‘Sooda’ what? What do you want that for?”

  4. Come to think of it, Del “Better Call Saul”.
Del should have called his wife from the parking lot of Selasky’s to ask for a ride …
