Brown v. Bader

Filed under: Just plain sad — timbuys @ 6:58 am

Brazen But Buff Barry Bader Barely Bumped By Brawny Bully… Ah, forget it.  Hey wasn’t there someone else whose name started with a B?

Oh yeah, Ken Brown. He sure doesn’t look like he’s going to sit through much more of this.

Bonus Point: Isn’t this technically Barry’s second day back?

  1. Panel 3 on its own could be a B Kliban comic if you just added a cat somewhere.

  2. Yeah, Barry’s clearly got little man’s disease, with an extra helping of modo magnificus, but personally speaking, I’m not sure that legitimizes the bullying. I’d give him the silent treatment instead. Mr. Narration Panel has the best lines anyway.

  3. This is gonna be soooooo disappointing if Barry doesn’t end up taped to the goalpost or stuffed in a locker.

  4. A “fresh set of issues”?? That’s rich.

  5. How many weeks of practice and games has Barry missed? Will Gil insert this turd back into starting line up? Ah, nobody cares.

  6. Look at Barry unlocking that door in P1 T-1000 style. He’s a Bader-nator.

  7. Let’s see… If Boo’s death and funeral took a customary number of days– that is to say three or four– it’s not even a week since the crash. The astonishing time dilation has us fooled, but not the characters. We know that Barry missed one game, but that’s probably it. The next couple of hours (about nine panels) will tell us a lot.

  8. So Barry has proven Saul Goodman’s observation from “Breaking Bad”: Some people are just immune to good advice. Gil could have been more emphatic (“Do not start a confrontation, Barry. Do NOT start a confrontation”), but does anyone think young Bader would have behaved any differently?
We have now clearly established that the baseball season is still in progress, and there’s no way Rubin can end the spring story line this week. He may as well just drag this out until mid-August, then start the fall story pretty much in synch with the real calendar.

  9. When is someone going to stuff this turd into a locker and leave him there until fall.

  10. That’s “some one” not soon.
