Ten ‘Libraries’ Filled With Remaindered Copies Of Go Set A Watchman…

I love how Ken and Bobby have just completely tuned True out while he rambles on about what’s her name in favor of talking smack about Barry and re-stating information already known to us.

Meanwhile, it seems that Tulane is getting 17 points against Wake tomorrow night. I like those odds!

  1. Too bad Ken doesn’t know Bobby’s been without a dad since he was 3. Died of cancer. It’s been a long school year but Ken has been very wishy washy and not very captain like lately.

  2. Is the fall script here?

  3. You know, at this point we could just let someone follow Barry around ringing a bell & yelling “SHAME”, and then call it a day. I’d be alright with that.

  4. OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS CRAP YET AGAIN??? How many freaking times is Rubin gonna have Barry not show up for something and one of his teammates complain about him not showing up? The fact that he’s evolved True’s Right Hand a/k/a Ken Brown to recognize that is something, I suppose, but this has been done (no pun intended) to death.

  5. Gee, timbuys, I sympathize with Bobby and Ken. I started tuning True out a long time ago.
There is no longer any way to bring this to a remotely satisfactory conclusion. There is no sympathetic character trying to achieve a goal, and no one seems lined up to understand something new about themselves, their fellow creatures, or the balk rule. Let Barry donate his cherished childhood copy of “The Little Engine Who Said, ‘Ah, the Hell With It'” to that ugly-box-slash-memorial, and start the football story Monday.

  6. P2: Wasn’t that a late-80s Robert Plant lyric? “Lighten up Bobby”?

Too bad there’s this post hole library thing going on, ’cause I’d love to hear Ken singing sweet nothings to Bobby.

I’ll be your tall cool one with the crazy feet,
Lighten up Bobby, I’m in love with you.
I’m so tall and you’re so cute.
Let’s play wild like wildcats do.
No one compares to my real gone girl
Lighten up Bobby, I’m in love with you.

    Oh yeah…

  7. I know we’re dealing with fictive time here, not real time (and that with a puff of smoke and a phrase on the theramin we can fast forward to football) but crikey, school opens in NEW YORK next Wednesday and the football teams have been training for weeks… billy will be able to confirm or deny, but I don’t think this has ever happened before, having May and June take until September.

  8. So we begin with Barry The Jerkface With The Drunky Dad, and we close with Barry The Jerkface With The Imprisoned Drunky Dad. The real shame of this entire storyline is, we could have had the same thing without killing off Boo. She was irrelevant to the plot, which is The Team learning an important life lesson about getting along with jerkfaces.

  9. Yeah and what are Gil and Kaz doing? Well, it’s summer break, let the kids deal with it…
