The Moose That Bored

Pretty sure linemen need to have good footwork too. Also, since when was being ‘big’ a detriment to being a QB? Ya gotta be able to see (and throw) over those big lugs…

You know what we haven’t talked about enough, though? That t-shirt. The cut-off sleeves in combination with the Milford-cut neckline is the tops! You seriously can’t beat that look whenever you’re looking to get some impromptu pigskin practice pitches on la playa…

  1. Yeah, OK. Pelwecki is no Jared Lorenzen…

  2. I think we have a couple of Pantheon of Hair candidates here – Big (but not so big he can’t play second base) Kevin with the Tim Lincecum ‘do and other dude with the keyhole bangs Whigham is fond of drawing.

  3. Pelwecki definitely needs to practice his footwork. From the footprints in the sand, I’d say his feet are on backwards.

Also, the reason his nickname is “Moose” is the unspeakable cruelty of high school boys.

  4. This didn’t occur to me while I was writing the post, but I wonder what Jarrod Hale is doing these days… Clearly, no one organized the team into those seven on seven games that were so vital to Milford’s state championship.

  5. That kid is no Moose but is easier than saying Palwecki or whatever his name his. Sorry real life Palwecki. My HS history teacher was called Moose. But I just called him MR. Roe . I guess he was quite a legend in Danville, IL and Eastern Illinois U well before Tony Romo. He claims to know Gene Hackman and Harlem Globetrotter Marcus Haynes once showed up at our school to talk to the Moose. I heard him once say he was a bully who would “literally cave your face in.” Quite a character and a MOOSE !!

  6. Real life Kevin Pelwecki will never be offended on this page, I’ve always found peoples observations and comments hilarious. I said here 2 days ago to look for the Moose moniker. Just like the Milford version, I did not obtain the nickname based on size, but rather I was the only 8th grader in 1983 who needed to shave and had chest hair, it’s just always stuck. I don’t yet know how The Lincecum-esque version of my namesake obtained it, but don’t look for Mudlark Moose to remain at QB. Look for a position switch where he can take out some aggression.

  7. Thanks “Real life Kevin Pelwecki ” for giving us insight from an “actor” playing one of the “stars”, if you catch my drift….

  8. […] if you will, always wanted to play quarterback but, despite diligently practicing his drills on the beach, doesn’t seem to know shit about how to do […]
