Were the torrid strips of the past few days getting you a little flustered with all of the hand off practice? Today’s panels should help cool your jets.

  1. Heather’s dad apparently did not teach her to recognize Canadian footballs.

  2. Oh boy. Another spunky, lippy broad. Aren’t there any boring girls in Milford? Boring Girls is a song by the band Pissed Jeans. If I knew how the upload, download, whatever the case may be I would. But I don’t.

    Apparently, I do! – TimP

  3. We may not know the precise location of Milford, USA, but we’ve got a good clue in panel 3. Those are awfully long shadows for mid-morning. (Heather and Kevin met for this practice session at 10:05. It’s got to be at least 10:30 by now.) Somebody with a sextant or abacus or something could get an approximate ratio between Heather’s height and her shadow’s substantially greater length, and presumably calculate the longitude of Milford.

Maybe it’s in Canada, which would explain the footballs.

  5. Let’s see if they play by Canadian rules, eh? But good shooting, John S– even allowing for daylight time, those shadows are long.

  6. So THIS is how Pete Townshend spent his teenage years(nice mug of him in P2, BTW). I’m sure Heather’s tips, valid as they are, might not have gotten Pete to lead a productive career as a QB in the NFL but it sure as heck developed his Windmill Technique. So next time when we are in a crowd of Wholigans at Leeds and Roger’s twirling the mike and Keith is being Keith and Pete is doin’ his thing with his guitar, we can honestly say we owe it all to Heather. This Bud’s for you, my friend.
