This Week in Milford

Will this game (season) never cease to end?

Okay so the refs didnt see the illegal block by Heather that sprung Shuford loose for the TD. But God almighty we still have more football to play on December 2 people!! How much more can we endure? Every story is like this – just drags on and on until you wanna pull the strip right off the computer screen. Heads in the game, ha. Gil’s head hasnt been in the game since 1982.

And Heather advises Palooka just like the posters said – and he looks like the last one to be pulling on his helmet.

At any rate this season is mercifully drawing to a close. Our song features a sentiment we all share.  :)

  1. Now, in addition to being the Offensive Coordinator, Heather has made herself Defensive Coordinator. She still has time to pitch in as Special Teams Coach, but probably not as Strength Coach. Pretty busy for a mediocre soccer player.

  2. It’s not Heather’s fault that the Milford coaching staff has its collective head up its collective ass, or that the other players are just as clueless. Shouldn’t everybody else be embarrassed that a “mediocre soccer player” is thinking rings around them?

  3. Remember her dad coaches at the football factory known as Monmouth. I’m sure he taught Belicheck all he knows .

  4. I agree with our feature writer. It’s like steaming full-bore down the Mississippi River with its arduous twists and turns and SEVERAL New Madrid Faults and discovering towards the end(?), damn, it’s a creek. Then we gotta turn the barge around.
And while I concede Heather’s football acumen, do the plotline gods really expect us to swallow, especially after beaucoup false starts, the idea that a discontented(and average) soccer player can make the quantum leap to offensive(in more ways than one) coordinator of a high school team? Even with Papa’s football DNA? If that were true, heck, with my dad owning an engine core business and his brilliant mechanical mind(believe me, I still stand amazed after 40 years), I oughta be in the pit crew with Richard Petty at the Daytona. You can see I’m still writing.
We might not have been impressed with alternatives, such as Heather springing Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids on Valley Tech but it might have proven a nifty distraction from Moose caught on a sandbar while Heather pursues the Third Crusade against the Ottoman Turks with a Derringer. I hope she has a good horse.
Baby, VT would flee if they saw Fat Albert rumblin’ with that pigskin. HEY!!!!!!!!!!!HEY!!!!!!!!!HEY!!!!!!!!!! GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! while the Cosby Kids knock ’em down, legal or illegal, with several WHUDS(is Moose the one with the knit cap over his head?), Fat Albert a WHUD in one great big package shaking Valley Tech to its very foundation. Heather would be a genius. She could ditch the playbook and go for the throat.
I agree with Bobby Joe and Downpuppy. If this cul-de-sac storyline reaches another cul-de-sac, let’s change the channel to basketball before we find out Milford made the Football Playdowns the week of March Madness.

  5. P2: Is somebody doodling in the upper left-hand corner? Oh, how stupid of me, that’s the CROWD cheering on the team.

  7. Ah, the memories. Great pic, Robmize. Thanks for sending this 50-something guy down Memory Lane. I must admit I was groping for his name(ha). That cartoon was a riot. You da man.
