This Week in Milford

We’re nuts about nuts about nuts!

PayDay – that old candy I used to see on TV but never ate. Well I dont know about you but every job doesnt get a paycheck every other week. Some are every week, like the lower rate jobs like a clerical in a hardware store. My jobs at a restaurant and a retail store were every week pay too. Good thing Gil and Kaz both recognize the absurdity of the boys analysis. What difference does a paycheck make with an amatuer basketball performance? We finally get some answers but they make no sense, so we’re back to square 1, or so it seems.

Maybe its because his mom can afford to let him have an allowance for his weekend tiffs with Molly, thereby making him happier, and thus affecting his play in a positive way. Thats the best I can do here. Meanwhile I’m gonna have another PayDay, if I can find it at Walgreens.

By the way I love the girl in the short blue top with the longer orange shirt underneath..

  1. Ken will you please haul detective Gadget out of here. Why? Theres a window right behind you. Have Kaz throw him through it. Is Kaz wearing some type of rabbit tie? What a jackass.

  2. Aardvark reminds me a lot of South Carolina shooting guard Duane “Two Weeks” Notice. The guy has a good game every two weeks or so, and then just disappears for three games. Maybe Duane is on the take as well.

  3. And the story does one of its occasional galvanic twitches. If Rubin doesn’t come up with a big reveal soon, they’ll be erecting a Little Free Library for this plot.

  4. I remember a different PayDay commercial, wonder if that’s on youtube somewhere.

    It went:
    Everybody loves PayDay,
    Doo doo doo doo doo,
doo dood-dy dood-dy doo doo doo!
    Nuttiest bar in town.
    Everybody loves, PayDay!

  5. Couldn’t find that old PayDay commercial, but did stumble on this classic for the Butternut Candy Bar. Complete with hipster 60’s rock band characters Cow and Elephant.
The memory of the elephant’s freakout after the cow kisses him has somehow been imbedded in my mine for all these many years since…

  6. Payday’s were a favorite candybar of mine in high school. Speaking of payday, my current employer pays out on the last working day prior to the fifteenth and the last day of the month. I had a prior employer that paid every other Friday except on banking holidays when they’d pay on Thursdays. My wife’s employer pays on the first of the month without exception. Point being, man is this plot boring…

  7. Mmmm, chocolatey, defined as “faintly resembling chocolate.” It’s like when McDonald’s used to offer “Thick Shakes” because, you know, they’re made with “thick.”
