Nice strip today although the inking seems a bit rushed. Nevertheless, it is hard to see a strip like today’s and not think of how much potential could be unleashed if the pacing of these stories was more even.

Hey, who got the (potential) assist on the dish to AaAa?

  1. Are we being set up for a classic “main character blows the game at the end of the season” situation again? Is Gil going to angrily ask Tina Aagard what size shoes she wears afterward?

  2. Will he clang it off the rim or get fouled and miss both free throws? In any event no playdowns in the offing.

  3. looks like Bobby Mitchell, assuming 35 was the one who hit the jumper yesterday.

  4. Considering that the two Jefferson defenders are badly out of position, I say Aaaaron should score easily. I mean, one of them is falling backwards and the other seems to be employing the dreaded “BOO! I’m a ghost!” defense.

  5. Did Milford change uniform colors?

  6. Gimme a Jeff Ruland and Rick Mahorn type hard foul!

  7. Major back injury, and he will require Oxycodones for the pain, which he gets hooked on. That’s my vote for “Worst possible finish to this storyline.”

  8. No, worst possible ending would be that Aaaron gets hacked as he goes up, falls on his head, and snaps his neck. Ma Aaagard, head swimming and emotionally labile from opioid withdrawal, starts screaming and runs down from the stands to be by her baby’s side, only to slip on a spilled Sprite puddle, cracking her head on the exposed metal part of the expandable bleachers.

    The Aristocrats!

  9. I like how Marty subtly but emphatically advocates for civil rights. Some of us sticker-bomb our laptops, Moon pimps his cans. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
