I’ll say it again – this storyline blows.

Filed under: Gil Thorp, huge earrings — robmize2013 @ 3:26 pm

And we get thrown a curveball before baseball season even begins – Aaron will be temporarily adopted by… the judge and his wife? Who are black? Which judge, the one that presided over the drunken run-over of Boo Weekly, the one who handled Ma Aarons divorce proceedings, or the one who arranged her rehab?? Or are they one and the same? Ken is the judge, not the basketball player I take it. And nice earrings on the girl in the foreground getting in some postgame tomfoolery. I dont know, maybe this isnt after the game as the gym stands look to be rolled up. So whatever she’s doing she’s happy about it.

Thank god Gil found someone else to shuf Aaron onto – Mimi woudnt like it if Aa got into the wine cellar and found their 2 kids stashed away.

We’ll see if this about wraps up the Aaron story and hopefully another GT character is shot up to the moon, never to be heard from again. Happy trails AA – may your water be deep and your pier short.

  1. Seems like the basketball team had a pretty good record this year — no mention of the playdowns? I would have thought they’d at least have been in contention or close to whatever cutoff there might have been.

But of course, that would mean dragging out this damned thing, and I’ll take any new storyline — ANY.

Does the commenting section have any suggestions for what might come next? I’m going to come out and predict:

……..there’s a new player on the Milford baseball squad who just-might-be a real life leprechaun. Stay tuned!

  3. Two questions:
    1. When Judge Hiatt agreed to take in AaAa, did she feel the need to clear things with her colleague in Family Court? Or is she just going to wing it, and hope that her unofficial ward does not have an accident while under her care? Or any of another dozen things that could go wrong here?
    2. We were told that Mrs. Aagard was at the game, but we never saw her. Was she overwhelmed at the sight of her child doing so well? Or did she leave early to meet her connection one last time?

  4. There’s still tomorrow’s strip– I doubt we’ll hear a word about the horsehiders before Monday or Tuesday. But tomorrow is of course April Fool’s Day, so who am I to know?

  5. Love leprechaun idea. What is Judge Hiat getting herself into?! What if Aa gets Molly pregnant? Is she willing to take them both, I mean all 3 in? What if the baby is black? Whaaaaat!!! I hope all this happens in 3 panels tommorrow and end this thing .

  8. To quote The Doors, if this is The End, it has a definite feel-good ending, the kind that gives you warm fuzzies after uncovering The Good, The Bad, and THE UGLY, reassured in P1 that Master Po and his wife will take good care of Aardvark. No more trips to McShanes for a loaf of bread.
“Ah yes, Master Thorp, we are most honored to take in one who is perhaps in need of a bit more guidance. We will instruct Grasshopper to pursue The Middle Path and avoid the pitfalls that can be an impediment to his potential, namely how to flush the basement commode. The handle can be tricky.”
And robmize, what IS that girl doing in P1 while
Coach T is slobbering his gratitude all over Master Po that a lost soul, once lost, has been tracked down by The Hardy Boys? Did CoverGirl slip in an ad while the game was going on and people were too rapped up in The Moment to care? Funny way to use subliminal advertising.
