Met With Limited Enthusiasm

Oh, it’s one of those Dafne likes Gary but Gary’s not interested but Jimmy likes Dafne so if he can only get Gary to go to the game with him he’d catch her interest but she’ll only have eyes for Gary and… and…

In other news, we are certainly getting a nice sense of the hierarchy of sports in Milford. Pity the forlorn Badmintoneers.

  1. So dude is going to sit through his THIRD boring-ass softball game because he doesn’t have the sack to ask this girl out directly during regular school hours?? What is his plan? That Dafne will notice him in the bleachers and fall completely in love at first sight? (That doesn’t work in real life, trust me)… So when do we start calling this behavior out for what it is, which is stalking?

  2. Caruso must have gotten dating advice from Lucky Haskins, who ultimately hooked up with Amy-Amy Lange by harassing her at softball games.

  4. Oh great, just what we needed: another plot thread that will be quickly abandoned, as we are bombarded with references to Cane’s temper for, oh, the next couple months or so before we get to the disappointing reveal and rushed conclusion.

  5. I liked Jimmy Caruso’s imitation of an Easter Island statue in panel 2. That ought to impress Dafne, Jimmy! Next, do Ed Sullivan.
