More kid gossip

Filed under: ?, Central City Cretins, general nonsense, Milford Weirdos — robmize2013 @ 7:39 pm

So after the Bucket stare-off, we find that both the guy and the girl thought the other guy and girl was impressed with them. Egads. I cant keep anybody straight at this point. All I know is someone is gonna get mad at somebody for no good reason. P3 adds to the confusion with 3 more girls deciding to go … where? Who knows who likes who at this point and who cares? We got games to play.

METAPOST: I couldnt upload  the strip because GOcomics wasnt working properly, so I put the link from the Seattle Times in instead. I dont know why I cant copy/paste the Seattle link anymore but if someone can tell me how I’d appreciate it.

META-METAPOST: Not sure the issue, but hope you don’t mind my fix, Rob. TimP

  1. meta-meta-metapost: GoComics’ server was down for maintenance earlier today.

I see we have yet another sighting of the Thorpiverse MST3K vanity plate. It was last spotted on Boo Radley’s Jeep Compass (where it may or may not have been lifted from Chip Visci’s Mini Clubman[?]), so its resurfacing here may be viewed as a bit morbid.

  2. OK, so the Mfnrd boys and girls are congratulating themselves on the milk shake caper, while the Central Citians are choosing between an announced appearance at Mfnrd or a surprise attack. I keep thinking that the involvement of Central City in virtually any plot means trouble. At the very least, there will be a rhubarb involving people with Dutch names at the ballgame.

  3. Love the Mystery Science Theater 3000 reference in panel 1! This group is a lot like MST3K; making funny snarky remarks in response to a “so bad it’s funny” object of derision.

  4. The girl on far right in P3 has Bob Lanier feet. They’re so big that they don’t fit in frame.

  5. Now that Starsky and Hutch are in total agreement that Carol & Alice & Marcia & Jan & Cindy & Nancy & Sluggo & Lucy & Violet & Peppermint Patty have a thing for the former, the parties involved will sort through(whoops, Sluggo’s a guy and I assume the amourous feelings towards one another are heterosexual) WHO exactly is hot for WHO at a later date, perhaps after they investigate the robbery at the Milford Liquor Store. They’ve ruled out Mrs. Aardvark since she’s already in custody plus she was a pill-popper, not a drunk.
And what better vehicle for S & H to do ANY kind of investigating than the S & H-mobile, the one with the floating license plate that makes its appearance to save the day for the characters mired in an undesirable plot(s). I’m confident it’s a charter member in the Pantheon of Mysterious Objects. Eventually, somebody will rip the screws of the PMO off the car and place the it on a passerby’s SUV, Gil’s motorcycle, Marty Moon’s Winnebago, the hearse for Milford Funeral Home, Aardvark’s moped, really anything that serves as a keystone from one plot that’s about to crash and burn to the next plot that can endow the former with wings and both sail off into the next county, anyway. Hey, we never really know where the hero and his bride ride off into the sunset. I wouldn’t think the used car lot and I’ll leave it at that.

  6. […] is our caller? Is it that one Fun Girl with the straight hair, the one from Central High? Or are there just multiple parties out there […]
