This Week in Milford

The Shallow Besties

Check it out. Dafne’s friend, whose name has totally been forgotten, is going to get Dafne out of her post journalism funk. They’re going to get milkshakes and fries with The Boys! The boys are probably the shot putter and the hurdler, whose names have also been forgotten. By all means, what this plot needs is another trip to The Bucket with the Bob, Dafne, Ted and Alice.

All right, I couldn’t stand to review this lameness but I did it for you, readers. The rest of the grouping is Carrie Hobson (The Bestie), Gary Meola and Jimmy Caruso (The Boys). That was painful to look back at, but weren’t some seeds sown earlier that the crushing going on between these pairs was somewhat unrequited? Ha. Forget about it. It’s Milford.

  1. Yeah, girlie, forget about your career aspirations and go hang out with the boys. That’ll cheer you right up. Nice post-feminist message there, Rubin.

So this is the Monday strip, which apparently means Rubin is going to wring another week out of this stinky mess. But apparently the zany summer storyline tradition has gone out the window along with the shitkicking version of Marty Moon, so we can be annoyed by these poorly conceived Afterschool Specials.

  2. This probably has to end this week if we are going to have a summer plot. I hope it does.

This is poor pacing whether it ends this week or in August.

  3. Odds are the girls run into our hotheaded pitcher at The Bucket, words start, it gets physical, and soon after everyone realizes that Dafne should have been able to publish her article, because it would have locked the kid up for life like he deserved, just like the 2nd baseman’s father.

Message: if you play baseball for Milford, there will be family issues with the law.

  4. P3: Awwwwwwwww. A Kodak moment.
