Ingrain It

Filed under: general nonsense — nedryerson @ 5:41 am

Looks like we’re back around to showing the track/football field workouts of Davis, Case, Pelwecki and Burns. I’m glad that Milford keeps its fields open and available for any randos that need a place to work out during the summer. There’s probably a couple of old guys too cheap to pay a driving range fee working on their golf swings off panel. Maybe a guy who wants to train his dog in frisbee catching is nearby. Several drone pilots are working on their craft as well. Hot damn, summer in a tank town. Badminton, anyone?

  1. Ha – more Trey Davis stealing $$ -‘ “Lets run a race and I’ll let you win, but you have to pay me for that. Then I’ll tell you your getting stronger even though I ran a little slower deliberately so you’d win by 5 more yards. Yep, pay me for that too. How do you think I make exorbitant amounts of money? By doing things with you any mope could do for free, and charging you for it. I could rob a bank but that takes more effort. I rely on my customers stupidity. ”

Hey Trey, how about this idea – TIME HIM WITH A STOPWATCH!! He’ll get just as much faster and you dont have to blow an Achilles chasing him. Doh!! Oh yeah, the stopwatch costs money. Oh yeah, Case is paying for it with the $$ he’s forking over to you.

And if Holly calls Kevin by his last name again (who the hell does that as a peer?) I’m gonna storm that field and take away their football and tell them to get the F*** onto a backyard owned by either one of them and do the same thing!

  3. They’d both go a lot faster if they’d quit overstriding. I’ll give Jaquan a break in that he appears to be decelerating, but Trey is starting his pushoff with the ball of his landing foot still ahead of his cg. Didn’t he see “Chariots of Fire?” That said, The Chief’s action drawings are still remarkably good. Again, have a look back at McLaughlin’s static poses.

  4. I’ll say one thing for Gil. He apparently really did step in during a time of need when Jaquan was being recruited. If only he would step in here and point out to the NBA ‘star’ that most high dollar physical therapists usually doesn’t have degrees in finance nor do they typically rehab your knee by doing wind sprints at the cinder track down by their old high school. That Jaquan bought the ‘down-low’ line part of Trey’s scam only confirms what a naïf he is.

    Also, Knoxy cracked me up…

  5. 1. If you’re throwing the ball to your fullback in 20-freaking-17, I hope to God you just stepped out of a Time Warp because you’re doing offense wrong

    2. It’s funny because Mullet Boy is in his third or fourth year playing high school football and he still needs to be taught how to catch, take a snap from center and a handoff from the QB because he **has** to play a glamorous skill position or else he’ll just fuckin’ die of shame and ridicule…

    3. I’m not in the industry, but my expectations of a world class obscenely paid internationally known physical therapist are quite a bit different from this…

  6. 4. Why the hell is a marginal NBA talent running 100-yard dashes? How is that going to improve his rehab, his conditioning, or his game??

  7. We don’t know if they’re running 100m sprints or football style 40s, but we do know that sprint intervals are part of pretty much all high off season training programs for high end basketball programs. And I also have to express doubt that Case is a “marginal NBA talent.” He was a first round draft pick and is still in the league after ten years or more, while the average NBA career lasts less than five.

  8. editing slip there– meant “part of pretty much all off season training programs for high end basketball.”
