Puerto Rico – Our National Disgrace

Filed under: Gil Thorp, metapost — timbuys @ 8:45 am

Not that posting about it on some blog about Gil Thorp does any good.

  1. Interesting how the issues in Puerto Rico are now being ignored. These are still U.S. citizens.

  2. These foreshadowings have real potential. I can hardly wait to see how Rubin screws it up.

Also, you can tell Jordy is a real Milfordian, ’cause he’s got no ass.

  4. Yes he did, Rowdyman. Gil’s look of shock in p3 bothers me. After all, when he started at Mfnrd in 1958, West Side Story was a second season megahit at the Winter Garden. Hoping The Chief was aiming for a look of surprise and concern for the cousin but was just a little off.

  5. What a twist! A stud athlete transfers in to MHS just in time….that story has never happened in this strip before….

  7. Maybe Jordy’s cousin is the next Roberto Clemente. Don’t blow it, Gil. There’s room in the MHS trophy case for some more weird hardware.

  8. Gil’s shock is not related to Puerto Rico . He’s not even listening. He’s looking past Jordy at the calendar on the wall realizing it’s January and every other high school has played at least 10 basketball games.
