Maybe Bobby calls Skyborne Advertising to move forward with his next billboard. Steve at Skyborne will get his crew on it Thursday.

Kaz swings by Joan Anderson Travel to visit Kelly. She’s not busy, as usual, because nobody uses travel agents anymore. (Or do they? Click for lame article.) Maybe Kaz needs Kelly to book him a flight or maybe he has some other needs that internet ninja Kelly can meet.

Kelly saw the new billboard! It’s different but still strange. Whigham didn’t use a computer font on this one since he wanted to achieve a view with perspective so he had to go with hand lettering. It looks better. But what is Maybe Bobby driving at? Stay tuned.

I think I might want to visit Paris! Should I? What does Jonathan Richman think?

  1. Oh I so beg to differ– in 2012 I went with 20 people to the Greek Islands on a 10-day cruise and believe me, our travel agent was invaluable in securing the best airfare and hotels for each of us.

  2. I always work through a travel agent. I travel a lot (I crossed the Atlantic 58 times in twelve years) and find that my travel agent can always get me a better flight and a better deal than I can myself. But he’s been in business for forty years, and like the Farmers insurance spokesman, “knows a thing or two because he’s seen a thing or two.”

But to return to Irritant #1 (I think that’s the grand jury term) I’m pretty sure it’s Bobby Howry. The physical resemblance is strong, and so is the arrogance that he knows more than anybody else. That’s not from ADHD, by the way. He’s just an asshole to begin with.

  3. Okay. People still use travel agents.

  4. Ned, in fact, 4 out 5 travel agents recommend Trident Sugarless Gum for their clients who chew gum.

Sorry, Rob and Vaganova, too hard to pass up. Don’t hate on my post tomorrow. It’s Christmas(literally), y’know. Your points are well-taken.

  5. No worries, tdrew. I don’t think anybody’s upset about travel agents. If on Christmas, 1914, the Germans and the Allies could play pickup soccer in No Man’s Land (and be threatened with courts-martial for doing so) I think we can avoid going to war over travel agents. Especially Kelly, who contributes invaluably to the retro aspect of Mfnrd.

  7. […] a teeny bit.  Maybe Bobby has rented two billboards and put the same message on both of them two different times, and now plans to do it again.  (“COACH THORP: TAKE A HINT FROM URBAN MEYER AND MARK […]
