Whats egregious is this storyline

Filed under: actual action, Gil Thorp, golf, Hadley V. Baxendale, Milford CC — robmize2013 @ 9:47 pm

Yay– golf! As I figured, someone who hasnt played much golf is yet so good he can throw it out there 295 in the fairway. Usually a muscle man who isnt a golfer will blast one 300 3 fairways to the right. They use all arms and dont turn their hips or lower body so their hands are ahead of the hips, the club comes from the outside, and the resulting sidespin curves the ball to the right. But in Thorps world its right down central. Reality is taking the summer off folks. But what else is new?

Meanwhile Hadley is visiting with Mr. Ballard. I went to grade school with a Ballard. He got kicked out of altar boys for stealing hosts, and became a car salesman. How about that green outfit?  Lot of green in this strip. Grass, shirts, cash in Gils wallet…

It looks like the kind you see at the store that nobody buys.  I’m not buying this storyline either.

  1. Though I am no muscle man I think you described my swing. Thanks for the tip. May I hit it straight next time out. If it is only that easy.

  2. “I probably should have called but I’m a fancy pants lawyer from Chicago so you will take my meeting.”

  3. Plot? Plot? I think somebody shanked it in the area behind the catalpas. Talk about taking a drop. I don’t EVEN want to see what the Golf Plot Scorecard resembles. Jaquan can drive them BUT THE IDEA is to get it on the green and put it in the cup. Hoo boy.

BTW, is this ANOTHER plot(four-letter word at this point, know whut I mean, to quote Ernest) that will sail the acme of the Milford skies but will land in the hazard next to Gil’s Topflite? I really don’t wanna know the answer.

“Think about it. You won’t have Bitchin’ Burns bossing you around when you’re learning how to putt.”

I liked egregious, Robmize. And your tips on the golf swing was priceless. You come through as usual, My Man.

If the golf plot and the plot in general were fashion, it’d be that suit in P3. Something your mom bought for your Graduation at the Milford Consignment Shoppe because The Men’s Wearhouse jacked up the price at its own place.

“You’re gonna love the way you look. I guarantee it.”
    Ummmmm, yeah.
