Shortest. Debate. Ever.

gt10192019

Geez, Chet, when has doing the right thing ever stopped you? Or netted you the results you were after?

You do realize that your logins are being captured and it won’t take an internet ninja to figure out what you’ve been up to. Even if it’s Kaz doing the ninjaing (ninjing?). There are steps to be taken between nosing around in students’ permanent records and getting Chance kicked off the football team. Once you take them, it’ll only be a matter of time before everyone from Gil to the mop Steve Luhm left behind in the janitor’s closet will be hip to your scheme. Then the only one getting kicked off of anything will be you off the school board – and maybe out of the family home. I hear Uncle Gary might have some room for you on a sleeper sofa in LA…

  1. Since when do school board members get access to private records? What a tool. Can’t wait for this guy to be gone.

  2. In my state, a board member trolling private records would not only be out so fast your ears would ring, but would be facing a lawsuit. The board sets policy and hires and fires, but does not deal in personnel matters other than to act on the recommendations of their administration. And franku is right about Chet, who is an entire tool shed. Lots of kids miss a year or get held back because of schoolwork, illness, or behavior problems. Not only is it none of Chet’s business, the administration has already made a decision under board policy that Chance belongs in school. “Fire me if you want to, but don’t tell me how to do my job” is a phrase which frequently runs through the minds of school administrators.

  3. Chet definitely isn’t the sharpest hatchet in the toolshed. That said, in an arc where we’ve had a nice amount of on-field action depicted, it’s stultifyingly reassuring to be treated to today’s three panels of a dude sitting in front of a computer typing on a tiny keyboard.

  4. Anytime you realize you are asking yourself “is this an ethics violation”, just assume the answer is “yes”. Saves so much time.

  6. The only thing dangerous is Chet’s abuse of school records to try and railroad a teenager

  7. This is the kind of guy and kind of story it’d nice to see Moon crucify. Because sensationalizing truly rotten people is the kind of ratings gold Moon should be craving.
