This Week in Milford

Is It Madison Time Already?

Filed under: actual action, football, Gil Thorp, Madison Time — nedryerson @ 10:23 am

Chance Macy is back and look at him go! He’s leaving everyone in the dust!

By the 3rd Quarter, Chance’s ankle is a little sore. How much did the use him up until that point? I assume Milford is leading 27-6 (if the score is shown as Visitor-Home, which is how I usually read such things). So was Chance running all over Madison for the first half and then some? He must be fast.

So now it’s time to see Charlie Roh get some reps. Maybe we’ll find out if Chet and Charlie’s mother made the drive to Madison.

What a big whoop-de doo. At least we have Madison Time (now with funky organ):

  1. Geez! What a pussy! Was my first thought and actually came out of my mouth as I read P3. I also assume Mudlarks are winning. If I was Gil I would file that information on Chance and he wouldn’t go back in any game for a while. Until he shows some mental and physical toughness. Sore ankle? So tape it up and get your candy ass back in the game! Don’t give me this BS that he’s pulling a True Standish and giving Roh a chance. His ankle can’t be too bad if he’s scoring TD’s. What a pud!

    Sorry, JT

  3. Agree with JT..such a pussy indeed….now that Charlie gets to help run out the clock, let’s see if he can do it without fuckin’ something up to let Madison claw back into the game. If that happens, Chet will blame Gil, and at this point, Chance will figure out that Chet has been the one talkin’ shit about him, and maybe we will get to see Mr. Blowtop in action.

  4. Not to be disruptive, no competent coach would send a recently injured player into the game without firm instructions to report any symptoms. And under the Field and Bench Code, “a little sore” means “bad.” With a 21 point lead, why would Gil and the coaches risk injuring their star back worse? Believe it or not, the season’s not over– we still have another couple of games to miss the playdowns.

  5. I’m on team vaganova here. Was gonna rip on Gil for leaving Chance in until the player had to say something about his bum wheel acting up. Gil, or Trainer Rick Scott, should be keeping an eye on that.

ETA: There are some players on that version of Madison Time. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I don’t know what week this is in the season. Let’s say week 7? If you don’t have a few guys banged up out there playing then they aren’t really playing tackle football. Sprained ankle?! Gimme a break! You got lineman in the trenches with worse owies than that. Downpuppy, you may be right about this being a True Standish ploy. My beef is I would like for Rubin to give realism a chance. I know this is Thorpiverse though.
