Alexa – Start A New Plot

Oh boy! This is our new plot. Alexa Watson has to endure idiotic jokes about her name. This is going to be great!

Sorry for the delay. I’m dogged by connectivity problems. Also, I spent most of yesterday shopping around for a vehicle with a roomy pink interior.

  1. I don’t understand the exploding eyeballs on skull cap kid. Is he bowled over by Alexa? Terrified? Stuck to his friend’s trousers?

Inquiring minds, on second thought, don’t want to know.

  2. I was wondering when we’d get our spiritual heir to the “Max Bacon” legacy of players with stupid pun names…

  3. P4: “haha, dickless and dicklesser….I’ve never heard that one before… guys are funny as a motherfucker…”

  4. At first glance I thought the lad was handicapped seeing his hunchback. So yeah, maybe he needed help with the door. Nope, just his brain is handicapped. Reminds of the punk band Fang and their Casey Casem number one hit, “Destroy the Handicapped!”from I think 1983.

  5. Milford Mudlark Record Book.xlsx sends its condolences to Goshen and New Thayer, whose football teams were not graced by the presence of Chance Macy, Charlie Roh, and the rest of the Mudlark squad. Sadly, this season spend so much time dilly-dallying with Chet Ballard’s boring shenanigans that there was only time to play 7 of the typical 9 games.

Milford Mudlark Footbal 2019 – 5 wins and 2 losses (4-2 in the Valley Conference)

    W vs Oakwood 14-7
    W at Dreher
    L at Tilden 14-19
    W vs Central 21-10
    W at Madison 34-6
    L vs Jefferson 7-30
W vs Valley Tech (in “a romp”)

Milford does not play Goshen for the first time since 2003 or New Thayer for the first time since 2001. Gil misses the playdowns again, and there have now been 5 seasons since that last playdown appearance (the 2014 state championship), though this is the 8th consecutive season the team will have a winning record (last losing record was 2011’s 1-8 team that wing-t-ed Valley tech in the season finale). Gil’s career football record, minus the 1996-2000 seasons, is 320-138-19. Since 2001 Gil is 110-62-3, 91-49-3 in the Valley Conference and 6-2 in the playdowns.

29 named characters appeared in the strip this past football season, including Mr. Blowtop and Man Bun Man. That is the most named characters to appear in a season since 2013’s football season (the John Pascoe saga) saw 41. Is Howard Elston a hall of name candidate? Not if Elston Howard isn’t a hall of fame candidate…

Milford Mudlark Football Record Book.xlsx will return in 2020 to cover what already looks to be a thrilling basketball season. Over/under is 10 games depicted between both the boys and girls teams… and at least it looks like there will be a girl’s team this year, there wasn’t last year or three years ago…

  6. I can hardly wait to meet Alexa’s friends, Siri Smith and Google Mertz.

  7. We didn’t get to see Charlie’s mother knee Chet, but I think the potential is there for Alexa to put some jerk into an agonized fetal position.

The previous plot may have ended as inconclusively as any we’ve seen recently. There was actual stuff at stake, and it resolves by Charlie treating Chance to pizza? There was potential for a transitional scene: they go to Schultz’s Polynesian Paradise instead, where Alexa, hopping tables, spills a pitcher of root beer on Chance, who relieved to know Charlie is his friend and that his teammates like him, not only laughs it off, but knowing Alexa gets picked on, continues to appear in the new plot.

  8. What’s gong on with the sunroof/t-top/targa top over Alexa’s head in P1? It appears to have replaced that vehicle’s sun visor.
