Coffee Is For Closers, Don

Filed under: Coach Kaz, Gil Thorp — nedryerson @ 5:57 am

Oh boy do I love a coffee pouring panel. Mostly, I’d see them in Mark Trail. Mark would be sitting in his log cabin with Andy or Doc in the foreground, and Cherry would lean over and pour Mark a fresh cup of coffee. Usually Mark would be sharing a story about expensive rental vehicles being blown to smithereens while he covered a story about bark beetle infestations for Woods & Wildlife magazine.

Anyway, it’s nice to see Kaz intently dispensing some Teachers’ Lounge Blend into his personalized mug. Also, note that it looks like Don Rooney is having his own cup of something there in the background while keeping a low profile to avoid the attention of faculty alpha males Gil & Bob.

Okay, so the real story here is that Gil and Kaz know about the extra curricular game that’s going down, but they don’t *wink* KNOW about it. So sly this pair is. Maybe they think Rooney is some kind of snitch? (Rooney probably doesn’t care. The pest in his classroom is gone and he just wants to enjoy his coffee in peace.)

Meanwhile, the Mayor wants to make history with his Little Rascals squad versus the Mudlarks. Fire up!…but please fellas, no guns!

  1. This is hopefully ending soon and why would Gil and his bum chum Kaz even GAF about this. Gil is serious when he sez “ going to what?”. Kaz is a dork

  2. Gil uncovered Kaz while attending a summer fastpitch softball game featuring most of his baseball team playing, unsanctioned by the school, against a bunch of disreputables and he didn’t have to pretend that he wasn’t going to attend it. In fact, he drove an hour away just to watch it. What the fresh heck is this?!

  3. Thanks for the historical perspective Billy. I’ve followed Gil the last 5 years or so pretty regular. Followed in the 80’s originally then off on on through the years so I don’t know everything. Gil’s such a turd. Does Kaz need Gil’s approval and hand holding? What a pud. What’s the wink for? Is that the sign to attack Gooney Rooney with butter knives? What HIS-TO-REEEE is WB talking about?

  4. I think that (despite the calendar, June 22 or 2020), the baseball season is still continuing, so that Gil is subject to practice/scrimmage limit rules.

  5. “MAKE HISTORY?!” Jesus Christ these bad kiddies are delusional…

But Gilberto has to go see the game so he can “discover” Peppermint Patty so Mrs. Gilbertina can pull some strings and get her on the Milford roster this season because why not??

  6. I’m sorry, who’s gonna umpire this shit again

  7. Hitorque can detect a set-up like nobody else. Hadn’t occurred to me that Mfnrd’s catcher can probably throw the ball through a brick wall, and that she could sub for the injured pitcher, opening a roster spot for Heather Burns. I’m sorry, I meant Rosanna Corina Karenna. Mimi’s challenge will be to get the papers signed and the ankle transmitter removed in time to make this possible. An apparent Italian-American, Rosanna would join an honored catchers club which already includes Berra, Campanella, Lombardi, Piazza, and Torre.

  8. Yeah Vagnova, good thought, but little Miss “ I have a problem with authority” will have to get over herself before she takes Mimi & Gil’s shit

  9. Trouble with authority or translated as a bitch.

  10. Ned, by far, one of your best, in my opinion. You really bring this under-the-table fiasco to its knees. You da Man.
