This Week in Milford

Throwing to a recycled panel

Filed under: actual action, Central, Mimi Thorp, Recycled art — robmize2013 @ 6:55 pm

And the stupidity continues, with Corinna throwing the ball over the fence into a clearly recycled Panel 2, which was used for a home run some time ago. Why the hell would a Milford fielder suddenly change uniforms mid practice?

May 24 – the game with Central- close enough. Unreal how Whigham thinks we cant remember anything before last week.

On April 29, Mimi first asked Corinna about college, while having cupcakes with her. Corinna basically said her mothers mental health came first, so not interested. 5 weeks later, and we’re still beating the dead horse. Its either this or the Library Showdown. Pick your poison folks. Why we cant have a number of storylines that take a week or so instead of a death march for months going over the saaaaaame stuuuuf. Then on to the next bunch of miserable characters for 3 months of summer fun.

But perhaps P3 offers a chance for Corinna to switch positions, to pitcher. Just idiotic enough for this strip to give it a whirl. Strong arm, yeah. I could fill Yankee Stadium with strong armed players who got their ears knocked back either for lack of control, or lack of command of a second pitch to throw off the batters timing. Dont let that arm fool you, Mimi. For gods sake, if we see Corinna on the mound next week, we’ll know the inmates are running the asylum.

Finally— I will be taking a much deserved week off next week to return to Myrtle Beach for golf, the ocean, and the beach. Of the 8 trips I took last year, that was my favorite; its like paradise to a golfer, and I never get tired of the ocean and its views. . So giving a heads up for a fill- in in case Joan Rivers isnt available..

  1. 1. God damnit, Patty… Just because you want to have a little pissy fit with Gilbertina doesn’t mean the first baseman has to suffer…

1a. Gilbertina, on multiple occasions you have extended a completely undeserved helping hand to Patty only to watch her repeatedly excrete a huge turd on it. Please just stop and help one of dozen players you’ve been ignoring all season instead… Show some stones and self-respect for once — Has giving Patty official diva status the moment she transferred and trying to drown her bitchiness in a pool of kindness *really* worked out for you so far?

    2. Is this what’s known as the “bulldog mentality”? Because I’m so confused I can’t even tell anymore.

    3. So Peppermint Patty just drew a line in the fuckin’ sand and told Gilbertina (and any teammates within earshot) in plain language that she is 100% willing to play like shit and lose a game or two just to not only defy the coach who her a second chance, but also COMPLETELY undermine her credibility…. It’s just hilarious to me that for all Patty’s bullshittery and faux-moralizing lectures about team unity and victory being the only things that matter, she’s perfectly willing to literally throw it all away (like her toss to first) when it suits her little Lone Wolf crusade… And whatever she’s crusading for or against after a year and a half, nobody can figure out…

3a. IN CASE YOU HAVEN’T GOTTEN A CLUE YET, GILBERTINA — OPEN DEFIANCE IS YOUR IRONCLAD MANDATE TO FUCKING PARK PATTY’S WIDE ASS SO FAR DOWN THAT BENCH THAT SHE CAN’T SEE SUNLIGHT AND SCRATCH HER NAME OFF THE LINEUP CARD!!! THIS IS THE EASIEST AND MOST BASIC UNCONTESTED LAYUPS OF COACHING DECISIONS! THIS IS A TWO-INCH PUTT FOR THE WIN! **DO NOT FUCK THIS UP**

3b. I’m really getting tired of no teammates EVER witnessing or hearing or God forbid calling out Patty when she goes full Patty, even when they’re a few feet away. Oh but when Tessi Milton says she doesn’t owe any sexual favors to Vic Doucette, it’s the whole school’s business and everybody’s got an opinion… Milford has got some of the most selective hearing and seeing motherfuckers on record I think?

    4. Yeah, yeah… Please reference my previous annotated rants about Patty’s flagrant hypocrisy, along with my examination of why Patty even came to Milford if she didn’t want to get that golden schollie to Poly Tech, and other relevant errata…

  2. You know what I want? Instead of acting out and throwing stuff everywhere like some Balkan toddler who won’t eat her vegetables, maybe Miss Karininininna can actually explain to Gilbertina (along with the reading public) what her grand plans are after graduation since she absolutely positively must stay local to look after momma? Because all we’ve heard from her for weeks is “I’m not accepting some free ride to Arizona State and you can’t force me to take it!!”

So what’s it gonna be? She won’t be able to support momma or afford to hire even a part-time healthcare professional from slinging pizzas over at Domino’s for nine bucks an hour… At first I was thinking a scrappy wannabe badass like her would be a good fit for the 82d Airborne down at Fort Bragg, but she can’t leave town… And she’s way too much maintenance to be some sugar daddy’s playmate… Is she just going to do the OnlyFans thing and hope for the best? Is her bio dad coming back into her life with a winning Powerball ticket? Anybody else have a guess?

(As an aside, I was wondering exactly how Patty and her mom have been staying comfortably clothed, fed and sheltered all this time since mom clearly isn’t fit to re-enter society yet, along with wondering why Patty has had time to play three varsity sports when she’s an only child and her mom needs constant attention, but why bother Rubin about details?)

  4. Seems like the world needs ditch diggers too is a better comment than,HMM strong arm. What a couple of stupid fuckers!

  5. P4 should be: “You know what your problem is, Little Miss Big Stuff? You may be really good at sportsball but you still can’t comprehend that you’re too much of an obstinate dumbass to get anywhere in the Game of Life!”

And for the record I’m totally not kidding… If anything happens on Monday which doesn’t involve Gilbertina benching Patty and/or telling her to turn in her uniform, I’m done with this storyline… Which may have possibly been Rubin’s endgame all along? He’d like to get rid of me, wouldn’t he?

  6. P 2.5: “…. You fuckin bitch!…. Now go get that ball….”

  7. But seriously… During football season Gilberto benched what was arguably his *best* QB for multiple games because he dared to veto Gilberto’s playcall during 4th quarter garbage time… Not only that, he made said QB show up at school an hour early just to run punishment laps around the track for TWO WEEKS(!)

So what should be Patty’s consequence for breaking the literal FIRST COMMANDMENT of every athlete who ever existed or will exist —

“THOU SHALT ALWAYS PUT IN ONE HUNDRED PERCENT EFFORT REGARDLESS OF THE SCORE, THE GAME SITUATION, OR TIME REMAINING ON THE CLOCK!”

  8. Whoah! Simmah down now. This has to be practice, what with Mimi hitting from near the plate. The bluey in the outfield is just part of the incredibly bad coloring we’ve been subjected to for the last millennium. Sir always gives 110% (Not a penny less!) at game time.

  9. […] official: The Gil Thorp colorists are phoning it in. We’ve had players throwing the ball to players on the opposite team and opposing players in the outfield when their own team is batting, unless the Mudlarks have been […]
